What hp and rpm stock conecting rod will survive ?

my father used to build junk yard sbc for his mod stock and all he did was install arp hardware. he has spun the motor over 10k and never had a rod break. he consitantly turns the moter 7500 to 8000k. usually the crank depending on the application will take a crap first. There are a lot of variables to take into consideration but a stock rod will take more abuse than you would expect.
