New best's (sort of)

Finally got the car back together for a no excuse day at the track. Best et at this particular track( with the old motor and trans) was 12.30 @ 112. Lost a full tenth on the 60' and ran 12.17 @116 in 1250 ft air. Pretty pleased. Motor was built primarily from left over or swap meet parts. Time to upgrade to et streets and a trip to my favorite track (Englishtown). Air often goes to 1000- 1500 feet below sea level this time of year. Rods stayed in the block, new trans stayed together and driveshaft stayed in. Great day overall. Just thought I would share.

Any time I bring the car home and I don't have to tear anything down is a good day.

Thanks guys! I am not one to make excuses on track day. It runs what it runs. I had some minor issues that I will work out and try to get better rubber under the car for next time out. I was extremely pleased with the big mph. I can't wait for the rain to stop, and go back for round 2. For the record, 05 WAS a rough season. 4 motors and 1 hurt trans and converter made the summer "trying". It is starting to feel worth it.
