Any IHRA members?

My local track just switched to IHRA. Maybe you guys can answer some quick questions. I'm looking at the license form and the last portion has to be filled out by a track official and a license member. I am niether of these. What do I do? Sorry if I sound stupid here, but the track has changed owners and I have no one to ask. Like do I send this stuff to the IHRA? Or do you guys take it? argg.
Thanks for the help

Fill out as much as you can then give it to your track. Let them mail it in with the rest of the information. IHRA will give you a number. If you're applying to run in the SuperSeries you will get a number like mine CX09. It could be any combination of numbers but the X designates you as a Superseries contestent.

There should be 2 seperate forms to fill out. I applied for a D license. No medical required and I didn't have to do a blindfold test. So much better than NHRA

What et range are you running? In Stk, we need only apply for our competition number but don't need to go thru the licensing procedure. This is the same with NHRA is this case.

Hotrod is an index class just like NHRA's Super Street. They run on a 10.90 index.

You run as close to your index as possible without going quicker on every pass. You can't change your dial in to adjust for weather. You need to adjust the car to go quicker or slower. Some people enjoy this type of racing. It's still like a bracket race but takes a bit more to figure out how to make the car run the same ET every time. I find it easier to just change the dial in on the windows.

If you're not running an index class or any other specific class then you're running in ET brackets. 2 different bracket classes depending on what you want to call them.

Box
Top
Electronics

or

No Box
Mod
Non Electronics

Box would be like Super Pro and No Box would be like Pro. The NHRA "Sportsman" class for the slower vehicles is called Street.

In Box, you can run delay boxes and throttle stops. No box you can still use a 2 step and a transbrake is you wish.

I run in Box class because I use a delay box and have ET/B on my windows.

I guess I'm running street then. The biggest problem is the track ownership has changed hands. When it was NHRA it was privitly leased. Now the Town has taken over and things have gotten better and worse. The track is sapposedly redone. But I was told there is no more test and tune. Which is weird because there is a saturday and sunday race day. Saturday usually is a scheduled test and tune. Argg.

Our track is doing that this year. Saturday nights used to be t&t and a king of the hill race with Sunday as the points race. Now we have a double header with points races on both days. The track isn't open any other time during the week for t&t. No wonder racers are starting to avoid coming to the track.
