Anyone need a Ford Focus?
My girlfriend's well-taken care of Focus, I think 2001, just locked up the engine from a failed oil pump. It only had about 100k miles, interior is super nice, 16" wheels with new tires, trans always shifted great, pretty much everything else was great.
Let me know if any of you guys would want something like this to toss an engine in and go, or know anyone that would be interested. Let me know.

There's something everybody should know so they can make an educated decision about this car. It's something I don't think many people here actually know. I was head of the quality department for a large automotive supplier from 1999-2001. Two-thirds of the products we made were Focus transmission parts.
So before you decide to buy a 2001 Focus, you need to decide if you can trust a car knowing I was DIRECTLY responsible for the quality of some key transmission parts.

another bit of warning...installing an engine on this kinda car IS NOT easy at all!!!....requiring of engine and tranny together is a must to take out! These vehicles do not have a support cradle just for the transmission, therefore the whole cradle that supports both engine and transmission along with the suspension components like the rack/pinion/ strut assemblies have to be dropped as well. I have witness 1st hand at a shop i worked at awhile ago.
Note: One of the things you have to watch out for also is the way you put on the crankshaft pulley. For some reason Ford decide not to have a notch/keyway to line the pulley correctly...if you fail to do it correctly, when setting the timing and the crank sensor fails to recongize the sync, the engine will spin regardless of the location and the valve/piston clearance will cause instant engine failure.
pursue with these vehicles at your own discression....personally in my opinion, these vehicles suck! ....
