Me and dean are tossing around the idea of doing another BWW meet. Last year we had a decent turnout, and hope for more this year.

I have no idea when yet, but assume in the next month and on a wed night in elmhurst IL. They have a car show that night so we have something to look at besides each other

Anyone have any date suggestions?

Correct. Plus its right in the middle for most of us. There's a few very close to that location, Bill's way up north, I'm way up northwest, Dave is way out west, and a few of you are down south.

Your car wouldn't be "chopping" because of bad valve lash...unless its waaayyyy off.. if you mean ticking, I can understand...but if you have a rough idle, I'd be leaning towards something else..

Valve lash thats too tight can cause idle issues. If there isn't any clacking/ticking, and the IAC isn't bad then it could be too tight.

Use a small pipe and stick one ear in one end, and point the other at the rockers 1 at a time. Listen for the clacking sound.

Or you could set it back to #1 (watch for both #1 intake/exhaust to close), then re-lash it cylinder by cylinder.

There are a few ways to do it. I found every one of them on these boards. Hell, probably have a few threads floating around with answered questions under my old name.

If I can get Hubby to take the daughter to and from soccer practice, I'll be there... I haven't taken the car out since I had the engine work done about 3 weeks ago, so it will be nice to test her out... He fixed anything and everything according to the receipt LOL...

Okay, i have some good and some bad news. Good news is we have people interested in coming out.

Bad news is it seems that the car show will be over!! grrrr

But, if we get enough people out, we can look at each others cars and hang out on top the parking garage, talk, eat, cruise?

I am okay with that, sorry about the car show, i was almost certain it ran till oct.

Lets hear some opinions, if we stay this route i will sticky this, if anyone has other ideas we can change it.

i spoke with my buddy who drove his GTO last night over to the Elmhurst car show and indeed it was the last night for Elmhurst Cruise night...same goes for Lemont
and Lombard is officially over as well....Dang!!!
Why summer have to come and go so quickly!?...

anywho i'm bringing my baby out, at least for a last few hurrahs this year....
