Long ago in a galaxy far far away we had discussed getting together for a late dinner and having a sort of late night cruise.

I was thinking it could be something we should try again to do.

Basically we would meet for dinner around 9-10. Eat, catch up(no drinking, since we are driving after) and take off for a pre-determined spot.

The only problem with this idea is i am not sure where to drive to make it an enjoyable experience.

So i am looking for suggestions.

We can also try to hammer out some details and such at BWW next week.

i second on the cruise down lake shore drive...i've done it before but it sucks when your driving and can't capture the view of the downtown and the city skyline...perhaps we can find a place nearby the lake and gather peeps for a lil bit..like near the drive to the shedd aquarium, or the parking area of any of the downtown beaches....either way i'm in for it!

I know we have a few members that currently are waiting to get cars back on the road. We should have plenty of time to do this and still have decent weather.

A Saturday night is probably more likely anyways. I'm thinking sometime in October would be good. That way we all have a nice long time to plan that night, and we can finish up a couple member's cars

I've got the map of all our locations thrown together. Finished it when I got off work tonight. Still need to figure out a meet spot and then a route with a couple stops along the way.

I figure we'll probably meet up somewhere to eat around 7-730ish? Eat, get out of the restaurant by 8:30-9ish, and then head out from there. Expect to burn a tank or so :P I figure the actual cruise will last til 1ish, but that's obviously highly dependent upon what route we come up with. Does that sound like somewhat of a gameplan? More talk will be of this on Wednesday of course.

lol, I'm sure we won't have to worry about that. Through downtown will probably be mainly like Lakeshore/Michigan/Columbus, etc. It will definitely be a kick, we'll try to get some sort of a route hammered out Wednesday.

Yeah, its definitely still in the works. We were going to try to come up with a route on Friday night but we got lost looking for a dealership in McHenry, and then after that had to spend some time picking up some stereo parts for my car

We will get it all figured out and posted up as soon as we can. I expect the date to be late October. Any later than November 3rd (MFBA track rental @ Cordova), and Tim and I will be having Jimmy races seeing as both cars will probably be getting torn down shortly after, lol

i actually got an idea, about a cruise route but it starts on north side...i would propose for a starting point at a place call "Super Dogs"...it's a ol fashion style drive thur/ outdoor food court that you order food from your car and they carry the food to you...from there we travel east bound on I-90 till we get off any major roads like roosevelt, Lake, etc. travel that eastwards to State street, go south on state street and get onto the lower wacker drive entrance ramp, then travel that up to the I-290 ramp but going eastward to Lake Shore drive and going north again on LS probably, i just don't know where then ending point will be..i was kinda thinking somewhere like near Soldier Field, or we can use that as the starting point? ...it may sound excessive at first but i think it's covers all the good parts of the city and it does become a cruise....i got a city map book and i'm gonna verify those streets....i just hope my car will be ready whenever we're doing this....
