Shipping car parts, Fed-Ex or UPS
From what I can gather, if u want it to make it there intact, use Fed-Ex. If u want to watch and follow a pretty tracking setup and get a smooshed package use UPS.
I do hate the fact that Fed-Ex tracking is about garbage lol. If it even loads for u in the first place its always wayyyy behind.
Least UPS has most of the tracking things squared away.
Just kinda ranting and seeing other folks luck.

Re: Shipping car parts, Fed-Ex or UPS
I ship over 1000 packages a year through UPS and have very few problems. I would never ship anything through FedEx. When I worked at Honda we originally had UPS make deliveries and everything went pretty smooth. Then Honda switched to FedEx and every box showed up looking like it had just done a tour of duty in Iraq.

I faithfully ship most packages through USPS priority mail, it is a 2 day delivery and chances are if the package is shipped that fast it has less time to become damaged. I ship larger packages through DHL and have never had a problem, DHL prices are by far lower than UPS and FED-EX and a little insurance doesn't hurt.

I'm not sure if any of you are aware of it, but you can also ship things through Greyhound. I can't say it's the most conveniant, but it's cheap as hell.

I have shipped a few larger items through Greyhound and I found the price was close to what DHL charges. Also the package has to be picked up at the depot so yeah it can be a little inconvenient.

On large items I buy I use pick up truck. Even on long cross country shipping they always wind up home in OK used condition. I guess it is how bad you want something in OK or Perfect condition! Everyone here knows how I am! Yes I know I AM CRAZY!

Re: Shipping car parts, Fed-Ex or UPS
Never had a problem with UPS or FedEx in terms of package quality or tracking. USPS is an other story. USPS is cheaper than the rest and only use for packages that you can throw againt a wall and it will not break ie. car manuals, but their tracking system is well non existant. It says on the site check back at night for tracking updates. Just this week I had something shipped to me and it went from the order was billed to what ever buisness that I bought it from to it was delivered at my house.
