About The Continued Drama??!!! Please Read

Look people I am getting really sick of all the soap opera drama bullsh*t of this board....there is no reason for anyone to leave for any reason..UNLESS.. you sell your car or don't like thirdgens anymore then get the f*ck of the board HOWEVER---there is no reason to leave the board if you enjoy it over stupid childish sh*t...whatever happens in your personal lives should stay in your personal lives..dont bring it onto the boards unless it has something to do with your cars..this board is not a personals ad..don't try to pick up people on it.. use it to make friends..hang out..have fun..that is afterall the point isn't it..i really like everyone that i have met on here and i think that i have made some very good friends that i will stay in touch with for a long time....you have many options of who you want to talk to ..if you dont like someone on the boards..block them from talking to you or just ignore them..don't run away from your problems..we are all adults here and we should behave like it..i came back to this site after i joined up with an all girl racing board, because of all the drama and lack of car topics on their site..but right now its looking appealing to me again because of the recent epidemic of sh*t talking and off topic fights that have been taking place here..i dont want to have to find another car site to hang out on but i really am tired of the personal bashing and other problems that have been taking place....Jeremy worked hard to get this board for us so we have our own place to post and talk and all that good stuff..how about we show him a little bit of respect and use the board for its intended purpose..car topics!!! I am not trying to start anything here but i am very disappointed in how down hill things have been here lately..don't use this place as you personal pity site or as a way to lash out at people..join a chat room if you want drama or if you are trying to pick up chicks..dont use this place for it.

I AM VERY SORRY TO ANYONE THAT I MAY HAVE P*SSED OFF AND I AM ALSO SORRY FOR HOW LONG THIS POST WAS!!

Thank you for the support .. I just really want this site to go back to the way it was...everyone seemed to be friends here before... I really enjoy talking to everyone that i have met through here..and I think that having a place to go and get help with car problems and all that good thirdgen stuff is a great idea and I would hate to see this board go to hell because of the dramas..this post was really directed at a select few..but I thought it would be a good idea to just try to get peoples attention..to address this problem..we have already lost a few good guys from stuff that has been said on here (that was in no way car related) and I think that it should be stopped.

Board

I agree with mrs.nikki I joined this board beause of wanting an escape from everyday life by enojyin meeting new people and talking about thirdgens. I really like this site its a pitty to see so many people leaving over 3rd grade bs. We are here to enjoy the site and eachothers company I am with nikki I think we should all just stick to cars if you have a problem with someone one the board talk to them else where you shouldnt use this as a venting place. Thanks

I have to agree with Nikki. Some of the crap I've been seeing in these borads reminds me of High School, which for me was over 15 years ago. I've only met a few people on this board and the one's I've met have been pretty cool. You want drama...watch a soap, you want real life...start acting like it.

The only thing close to drama I've seen on this board has been that controversy of goth and gothic people. I haven't seen anything remotely dramatic on this board since.

The only dramatic thing I've paid attention too are those damn nice signatures that are floating around.....

Who makes those anyways? Where can I get one?

Nikki, seriously though, I do feel and have a good idea where you are coming from. The other forum I frequent (computer forum for all you closet nerds) had a rash of "leaving" threads pop up, religeous threads, war threads.....eventually the moderators banned it. People complained, claming that it was a infringment on "Free Speech" rights and such non-sense. Truth is, that stuff never should have been on there in the first place, it was a computer forum, just as this is a car forum.

So my post about my friend dying isn't allowed because it's personal???

WOW!!!!! If that's what it's turning into, then I'm glad my car got smashed in the process. I hope that wasn't offensive, but to be honest Nikki, if it was, oh well. I needed to vent, both about my car and my friend. If you're not willing to deal with that then I'll gladly leave.

Tell ya the truth, within the last few months (I imagine it's because it's summer) there have been a lot of dipsh*ts show up ALL OVER the boards.

Just yesterday some guy is trying to tell me I'm either a lier, or my wife doesn't know how to drive. Yea... I do nothing but lie (tell people my car is slower than it really is), and since my wife has had ZERO tickets and ZERO accidents, she must not know how to drive.

Honestly Nikki, you're being hypocritical. You're saying you don't want to read bitch sessions, but you're certainly dishing it out, aren't you?

Sorry if I sound grumpy or pissed, but maybe if you'll go further into detail about what you mean when you say
...whatever happens in your personal lives should stay in your personal lives..dont bring it onto the boards unless it has something to do with your cars...
I'll better understand what you're saying???

I read that as "You can tell us how your car got smashed, but as far as your friend dying, too bad - so sad."

I think you need to read it again. If you bother to go back to the beginning thread, or even better, go in the thread that this one started from, you might have a better understanding of what this one is about. I remember reading the thread about your friend dying, and I'm pretty sure that nearly everyone on the board has lost someone, and wouldn't be that rude or inconsiderate. What everyone's griping about here is the fact that one person already made a big deal about leaving and now someone else is whining and thinking about doing the same thing. And it all goes back to someone doesn't get along with someone else.

I'm beginning to think that the moderator better lock this thread before some real hurtful things are said, and before he has to start being a hardass and disciplining people, but that's my opinion.

Here is my take on the situation.

I think some people should just be honest.

I also think some people should keep their word when it is given.

I think people should know that it is sometimes hard to know when someone is kidding while chatting online.

I also think people should not change their minds halfway, and then turn around and make someone look bad.

Some people may be like, WTF is he talking about, but they know what i am talking about.

Exactly what thread is this about?

Is in the goth arguement?

Just so everyone knows, I have no problems with anyone in this forum. Everyone I've met has been cool, and everyone else here hasn't done anything to make me dislike them.

What Nikki said had nothing to do with you at all!!! SHe was simply sayin that because people are getting off topic of the site that there has been a lot of arguing and people gettin upset over stuff that shouldnt even be brought up on a site for cars, it had nothing to do with your friend dying. She was talking about people being rude nothing about you.

I also have no problem with anyone from this board, everyone i have met has been great.

But i feel that someone was hurt for the wrong reasons.

I am done talking about this, i hope everyone grows up and stops lying.

with that said, i will do the dance of joy

Well I guess since I'm not involved in the mellow-dramatic complications that all you kids love to get involved in, I have no idea what you're talking about.

I only read important relevant information. I guess I must have missed the soap opera.

Now that you know that, perhaps you can understand why I misunderstood what Nikki is saying.

Besides that... I do believe I was replying to Nikki, not any of you. Don't respond for someone else. It adds more to the soap opera.

If you care to explain Nikki (since you are the one I was talking to) please do. I don't want to 'your' explanation from other people. Things tend to get confusing when that happens, wouldn't you agree?

AJ--
yes actually i do agree..i actually pm'd you with that reason but i deleted it and decided to post it for all if the other people that dont see where i am coming from..when i first read the reply that you had posted i got so pissed to see that you took it to heart the way that you did(considering i was one of the first people to tell you how sorry i was to hear about your friends accident),but then i realized that everyone has their own opinions and you are very much so entitled to them..so here goes my reasoning for posting what i did for those of you that don't understand it...

THE REASON FOR THIS TOPIC;
1)the whole purpose for this board is to meet people that share an intersest in our cars..to make friends with the proud owners of thirdgens.
2)in the past month or so there has been an increasing number of posts that i have read(that started on a good topic),that have been taken over by very off topic conversations.(like how people dress and nonsense such as that...which btw is one of the reasons why we already lost members of this site that felt personally attacked by people that may not realize that judging a person for any reason is not their place)
3)the conversations that have been taking place off of the board between members...i dont have a problem with this one at all until the conversations get brought back to the boards with intent to bash others (and this one really only applies to a few people on the boards[but they DO know who they are])
4)think about how many times you get on here to check whats new on the boards and there is not a worthwhile thread to read because the ones that were good have been turned into gossip
5)this one has to be the most irritating at the momment..the people that do decide to leave the boards(and there have been a few lately)why do they feel the need to make posts about it and not tell the reasons why they are leaving but instead they post to cry about the fact that they are leaving..if you want to leave then go ..there does not need to be a whole other dramatic post about the fact that you are leaving like you are expecting people here to beg you to stay..everyone has to be able to think for yourself so if you think that you dont want to be here anymore then dont be here anymore.
6)there is only a few girls on this board but i am sure that they would also agree with me here..just because we are female does not mean that we come here to get hit on and have rude things said to us..we are here because we love our cars..we love cars period and we like to talk about them with you guys and participate in the meetings with you all. this is not a personals site..if you are lonely and need to try to pick up women go to one of those boards instead of trying to do it here..i dont mind the jokes and stuff but the very serious and rude comments that some of us girls get from this board(which are usually through pm's or chat, dont need to be made..especially to those of us that have boyfriends already).
THESE ARE SOME OF THE REASONS FOR THIS POST..HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND WHERE I AM COMING FROM

All of us kids? Come on now, i am not that young,

granted, i am not older than jeremy, but then not many living things are.

I did not want to become part of it, someone just threw me in mix.

Anyways, who is going to the volo meet, we can all kiss and make up there.

I AGREE!

Even through post you can usually tell when someone is trying to be an ***. Lets close this thing before it gets ugly. With people beginning to single someone out, and attempting to call everyone else kids, which I might add there are only a few kids on this borad, and one of which I'm not, feeling are going to get frayed, and people are going to remember these things when they do meet.

I've only been on this board for a few months, but I haven't had a problem with anyone...yet. But if this continues I'm sure that will happen, and I have an issue with keeping my mouth shut when someone really pisses me off.
