Figured that'd get your attention.
Since the fix and tune day obviously doesn't seem to be a choice of gatherings, how about..
Six Flags? Last time I was there was when they had the grand opening of the Raging Bull... I figure we could get there around noonish, fool around all day and hit a fast food joint nearby afterwards.. Food at Six Flags isn't TOO bad, but McDonald's or somethin is considerably cheaper.
Right now Six Flags has an offer on their website, you can buy a general admission ticket for 32.99 instead of the regular 39.99. It has to be used by 9/21/03. Parking is a whopping 10 bucks, so I'd suggest we carpool as much as possible.
Before you blow this idea off because you don't think you can afford it, just look at it this way.. 42.99, plus figure about 25 bucks for food and bs. That's only 67.99 for a whole day filled with fun with your friends and rollercoasters.
If we can get up to 20 people to go they offer a group discount too.
I figure we could do this Saturday, August 9th. That's almost an entire month from now, so that gives everyone plenty of time to request off work and save up some cash.
Let me know what you think.

I got a season pass, so Six Flags is no big deal. I liked the test and tune day idea better.
