Fix and Tune day

Ok guys I've noticed a rise in problems with a lot of people's cars. Was wondering if you guys would want to set a date and gather somewhere for a fix and tune day. Need someone to volunteer a garage or suggest a place to go that'd be about halfway for everyone. I figure if we can arrange this for a Saturday around noonish, we can get work done on the cars, hit a restaurant, and cruise. As long as it's nothing too major though.. I'm sure Jeremy would be willing to come out and help with a lot of the tuning. We've all got minor problems with our cars, whether it's mechanical or appearance, so I'm sure if we got enough to show up we'd be able to tackle some stuff in no time. All I ask is if you know somethin's wrong, bring the part. 20 trips to a parts store in one day gets old fast

I'm just kinda toying with the idea at the moment, we'll see how many like the idea and put it together. Maybe Denny would be kind enough to host it at his place? That'd work pretty well considering he's his own little parts store, and I think it's about halfway for all of us. Oh and bringing your own tools would be a good idea too.

I don't have the facility to host anything like this, plus I'm way out here in the middle of nowhere.. Otherwise I'd say come on out Lol.

Just let me know what you guys think about it and we'll go from there.

Later.

I guess this is a no-go then? I just thought it might be fun to do tuning and detailing on some cars and then hit a restaurant or somethin.. Maybe fix some steering wheels -=whistles tunelessly to himself=-

Oooohhh!!! ME! ME! Me! Memememememmeme!!!! I wanna do this!!!!

Don't have the garage, but I recommend Denny's house. Hehe, afterall, if anyone would have the parts to fix it, denny would. ^_^ J/K, I couldn't offer denny's house, its not mine.

P.S. Denny, you think I could rent your basement for a bit? Parts included?:lala:

I only ran 15.3 @ 87mph. :*( I can do the timing, but it would be really good if we had a scanner that detected the knocks. Which I know jeremy does. ^_^ He's got his laptop and the software. HAHAHA!!!! Or rather Tim has the laptop, and we need the Craig Moates cable.

If i had the money I'd buy the parts and get that little bit of PROM tuning that Jeremy offered me. Instead I'm poor, so I'll just have to go with the no parts route.

Right now I can't do anything because my Torx bit driver went missing. Don't know where the hell it is. Kinda hard to adjust your TPS, and IAC valve without a Torx.

I'd come to it for sure, I need some tuning done I think. The car just doesn't seem to be as fast as it should be. I wouldn't be able to host it, but I'd bring some food or pop if it every became a reality.

Ok well if we do this it's not gunna be for another 3 weeks from now at least. Short notice gatherings get shortly noticed crowds.

I sent a PM to Denny asking if he would like to host it at his place.

And if we end up doing this, all I ask is no alcohol until AFTER the cars are done, common sense. And if you bring your own tools, don't let anyone else use them. Don't need misunderstandings and arguments over who's wrench is who's.

I figure this would be a good experience for everyone, even if you don't need work done, come on out and watch the work being done to other people's cars. You might learn something.

I'll post a poll in a couple days for a date for this shin-dig, gotta wait till someone volunteers a garage or parking lot or driveway or backyard or whatever.

I'd volunteer my house, but if we started to do stuff like this in the drive then, well, the boys in blue would be knockin' on my door with unhappy faces.

Elk Grove is not happy when large groups of people start working on cars in their driveways. Detracts from the value of the homes and somesuch nonsense.

Yeah, we could probably do something like that here. I'm just going to have to see what weekends are going to be free.

I would be all for that but I just hope the cops will leave me alone on the trip to wherever we go. No exhaust can demand some attention.

I have 2 garages but they are all full and the tools here are a bit to be desired. And my dad may not be to thrilled with the idea.
(same goes for my neighbors )

I'm DEFINATELY interested. I have MAJOR tuning issues. I think i have like ONE vacuum line hooked up right. I have a vaccuum advance distirbutor with no vacuum line hooked up to it! Everything is ALL over the place. PLEASE let this happen. I would for sure be there. I could use some your people's expertise. :hail: :hail: :hail:
