new to Salt lake city 3rd gen
hey guys, i'm moving out to salt lake at the beginning of the fall semester for a year, i'm an avid snowboarder and its about 90% of the reason im moving out there.
my real question is how do you guys make out in the weather out there?
I've been out there a few times, but never when there was snow on the ground in the city, or on the roads up to the mountains
how bad can things get up there? are things survivable out there in a third gen??
worst case i'm close enough that i could walk in really bad snow but....common....

Winters are hit or miss here. Used to drive a 4th gen daily in it. This past winter was fairly mild. Only a handful of days where it might have been difficult to drive a third gen. You wont be going to any ski resorts here in it, though.

Amen to no ski resorts... I drove my third gen for a couples winters, It sucks but definately doable, I had to leave for work at 4:30 in the morning so i hit the road before the plows did most days. But I survived.
