MHTG needs...

1 A dirty E-test facility.
2 A dang LOGO to put on our cars with numbers included.
3 Some shops to sponsor us, or help out a club with some discounts.
4 More meetings
5 More, work on our cars days.
6 Some members need to answer their phone, especially after they agreed to show up to a meeting.
7 We need to get an official member list up, and make some shirts/caps/clothes etc...

Lets get this thing off the ground and going already!

I need snow tires, or some decent tires. Anybody have a set that they want to sell?? Maybe trade???

I have the list of members, phone and addys. I haven't sent a new one out cause there have been no new members since the last update. I sent it to everyone on the list so you should have one to.

1. This won't happen.
2. Wasn't this being worked on?
3. This was disscuss way back when.
4. I agree on this
5. this to(I'll be welding in my subframes this weekend, if anyone wants to lay on a cold concrete floor and get sparks on ya)
6. Stuff happens to people.

And it would help if it did not snow every weekend for seven(looks like 8)weeks.

Don't worry buddy - With warmer weather we can get together so much more!! At the next meeting all those new members that come can have their names and addys added to our precious list. We need to be able to bring something to the table for shops to want to give us stuff. This summer will be a good year for us - dont fret!

There is no reason not to have a shop to help us out.

Even coloradof-body had a sponsor. We can have our own website, that I can make just to advertise, and we can also use our signatures to advertise the shop.

I don't see why we can't get a testing place somewhere to do some testing for us.
Or find a shop that will vouch for 700 bucks spent on the car to pass emissions, which gives you a waiver.

With the logo, last time we had a discussion about it, we had too many different pics.
We could not agree on one, and Mike really enjoyed his too much.
I am about to just make a logo up and have a t-shirt, or a shirt made.

I'll be #0 member so nobody gets mad at who would be #1.

I run a small internet hosting company (www.fast-solutions.net) if you can think of a domain that is not already taken I can register it up and host it for free.

Why not MHTG.com/net/org? (And possibly, MH3G as well, because experience tells me that some people who aren't familiar w/ our group yet will invariably misspell it - if we have both of them referring to the same domain, then it doesn't matter which one they type in.)

I really like the sounds of our own site!! That would really open up the doors, for advertising, which could lead to parts/shop sponserships. Could we have our own message board? I know nothing about setting up sites, but I am willing to help out in any way I can!

ok I went ahead and got mhtg.net registered and setup. The others mthg.org & mhtg.com were already taken. I will get mh3g.org & mh3g.net setup tonight to redirect to mhtg.net.

Also I got 2 different forum programs installed. It would be nice if we could get a good graphics logo for the header. I looked into running the same software they run here but it costs $160 for a license. So I guess checkout these 2 and see if they will work, or maybe look around for another one.

http://www.mhtg.net/forum/
&
http://www.mhtg.net/forum2/ (personally i like this one better)

I suck at web design so if anyone out there wants to take a crack at it let me know and ill get you the passwords.

NO

I am very computer savy, but I have to brush up my little knowledge that I did have of HTML.

I'll see if Tim knows much about it.

I don't see it being a problem though, it shouldn't be too much of a hassel.

Yeah, I am really excited. I just thought... Damn everything is dying down. Why not give it a little jump start. Than everybody jumps in and I am sooo happy.

I am liking the second forum, and I already registered there. We have 6 members registered on that forum, so lets just use that one.

Thanks D4NK for the forum!

Sorry been out working on the car for a few days. I am a new memeber to MHTG and havent been to any meetings yet c'casue my car is almost ready.

As far as advertising, parts shops ect... I have a good line on that. I have currently 6 sponsors for my car and the list is growing daily. If you can get something firgured out by April 19th, I have an exclusive car show that my car will be featured in, that will have about 12,000 people attending a 3 day event.

Anything I can do to help out let me know...I am HTML savy and have my own web servers, but my job is in parts and I can see about some parts discounts.

Thanks,
Shawn

Ok registerd on the website last night.

As far as a shop, I work for Advance Auto Parts in downtown Denver and live in Aurora.

As far as shops go, I have a few I work with closely that anyone who needs performance parts I can get them at a good deal, as far as Camaro or Firebird parts go I have a line on three wrecking yards that have a lot of body parts for them. I have a couple of body shops that will give discount to my friends and a rim shop that gives discounts on rims and tires. I also have alignmet shops that give discounts on frame and suspension alignmnets.

I have one shop that is my major sponsor on my car that has helped me with the body work, he does general automotive repair, body work, paint and airbrushing, he is doing the airbrushing on my car currently. He also has a dad who owns a performace shop specializing in perfomance engine mods...not that he did any of mine 'casue I did all my own. Whoever is running around the boards for LPR knows him since he is one of the sponsors on his circle track car. Anyone that needs help with aspects like this email me or pm and I will get you deatails off board.

Thanks,
Shawn
PS my website is under construction but I have 3
www.scm-rpg.com.au (under construction)
www.sgc.scm-rpg.com.au (up and running still)

Wow - this is freakin' GREAT! All those times when we'd set a time to meet, & only two or three people would show up, I KNEW that if we kept at it we'd reach critical mass!

Glad to see all the new people here, I'm sure we're all looking forward to putting faces to the names!

(At the risk of diluting the MHTG site though, I don't think that it'd be such a good idea to use it exclusively - TGO has been good to us, & besides, we could very probably get a lot of members referred to us thru here...)
