Yeah, we need a few ideas rolling. I will try depending on the day and my sons sports. But ideas and planning first.

Re: Late February Norcal GTG!

I would really like to meet up and do a cruise. Hit Dave and Busters at the end of the cruise, kick back a few beers and chat cars. I have been stuck in the land of Imports (domestics here) for too long... I'm not from Sacramento, so I don't know a good place to meet up, so that is all up in the Air.

The reason I am not saying a track day is because last time I was home in March, I just dropped my new engine in and it seems like almost every track day I was trying to go to was cancelled due to rain.

I have 2 Contour Camera's with suction cup mounts, along with a DSLR. I can stick the Camera's on peoples cars, along with some HD pictures... Could get some good stuff and make a Norcal Thirdgen's video! I personally will be getting a ton of footage of my car because I need something to hold me over since I got screwed and stuck in Japan an extra year. Would like some footage to keep me going when I visit the desert.

That looks like a great route! I am going to need to get a hotel or find somewhere to crash. It's a 90 mile drive to Roseville for me...

Lol, I would but I plan on getting drunk at Dave and Busters. My Formula just so happens to be a cop magnet!

I just PMed Street Actions, they have a pretty big Thirdgen crowd in the Bay Area... Let's see if he responds.

No specific place in Grass Valley... I was looking at the map, if we we take a side road it looks like there are some good curvy roads we could hit.

Re: February 23rd Norcal GTG!

I'm a Corona guy!

I guess I will race my car after the GTG so I don't break it. It's going to look like crap because it is soo fast the clear coat flew off the roof, and of course I got attacked by a hail storm. It will be going in for paint though soon Already paid for it, just waiting for the painter to recover from Surgery.

"Grass Valley also has the Empire Mine State Historical Park - one of the more interesting state parks in the Gold Country. Because of the Empire Mine, Grass Valley was the richest mining town in California."

This I guess!

Ah. That is the mine we went to on the Camaro generations tour. It was a snooze fest. Any other mines to check out? (you can't really go into the mines at empire so it is kind of lame).

Sierra Nevada of course, but not sure if I can get it in Sac... They sure as hell don't have it out here in Japan. Been stuck with Corona.

I definitely like the route you guys chose, but the chances of me having a 3rd gen to cruise in are slim to none. Keep me down as a maybe though, as I am free that day as of now.

I'll sticky this one and if you'd like I can send out a blast to the email subscribers this week as well. There's like 125+ on the list that probably don't check here or FB often.

Awesome. Just updated the list. Facebook has 11 people who said they are going so far. Not sure how accurate it is going to be though.

I'm getting on a plane today to head back to Cali for a month! Woot!

I'm in! Bringing the bird this time. Won't be able to stay for dinner though. I'll have work in the evening. They're pretty strict on 2 weeks notice.

Re: February 23rd Norcal GTG!

Anyone planning to attend fiddled around with tuning? I got my car tuned by kevin91z a while back but replaced both my engine and transmission since then. I bought an autoprom and have been data logging but my own tunes are still way off.

shoot i havnt even begun to explore what can be done with it. it is overwhelming to me. and im not good at reading what to do. i need someone to show me. so im doing my fuel system. doing the spark and fuel curves, if the car doesnt ping or have high knock counts and runs halfway decent then im done. otherwise i'll save up for some self tuning computer or switch to carb.
