So Nor-Cal. ..Does your 3rd gen have a name?
I know we have had the "black beast", "red dragon", "pink fairy", "silver bullet" and well . .."Felicia".
Tell us your car's name and any significance if not already obvious.
My first Firebird was Clarissa in the "girl name" tradition.
When I was 17 I saw "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (1939 movie) with Jimmy Stewart and took a liking to the lead actress of that name.
I guess the Silver Bullet stuck for my GTA. Not that I'm a Coors light fan or anything.

No. My car is too much of a badass to let me call it a name.

Not sure what to call Traviz' new and improved Fairy. It ain't pink anymore.
I thought your name is on your license plate. ..1 SLOT BI ?
Was hoping you had something flashier than that for your pimp ride Joey.
Perhaps a custom plate for you at least. ..SHWNOGO ? (all show, no go?)
Before you start. ..I know, might have to change my I<3COPS to PAPERWT haa

No names for my car.
If we're doing plates then mine would have to be "GRAGART" garage art

I've never given any of my cars a name and never really thought about giving my Camaro one either. But Once I saw this thread I thought Butch would be a good name for my car. To me Butch means strong man and I think my Camaro will be a strong car, even though I wont treat it like one with the 5 speed tranny thats going into it.

When i bought my car cylinder eight wasn't firing... so i appropriately named her "missy"
as for license plates maybe "Slow RS"(although i'm pretty sure i picked that up from some forum member with that name) OR "TBI?' with a sharpied in question mark.

I like to collect license plates, out of state plates, swap meet plates, vanity plates, etc etc, I have a few cool ones, but anyway
My handle on this site is 3rdbird, since I've had 3 meaningful Firebirds that have stuck around for awhile.
My 91 is "The Official Rocklin Automotive Courtesy Shuttle"'
Kinda like UPS, "when you absolutey, positively, have to be there right away...

I've kept the front plate from most of the cars I've owned.
Have some novelty ones as well, "OUTATIME" being my fav of course.

Re: So Nor-Cal. ..Does your 3rd gen have a name?
Eventually I'm going to do a modified nose stripe across the front of my IROC and will add the word 'NITRO-ACTIVE' off to one side.
Any significance? Not nitrous, as I've got a SuperCharger sitting on the production line shelf; but it goes with the hyperactive (get it? Hyper-Nitro-active) energy level I've always had growing up.
As too many of my teachers used to say right before kicking me out of class: "You're pulling too high of rev's for this classroom...."

Re: So Nor-Cal. ..Does your 3rd gen have a name?
I pretty much picked the worst name for my car. I named it after I girl I had a crush on freshman year. Her name was Felicia. She was cool, but I think she ended up knocked up in HS.
All my buddies call my car the "beast" or the "bird"... I think after paint, she will be a whole new car, and I think I will break all the rules and give her a new name.

You could give the name a **** Eastwood ambience by reflecting one of his famous western movie titles: : The Blue and the Bruised or more of a Prize Fighter Tone: "Bruiser Blue" Or if you've had a penchance for trading shirts off the 'ladies' in that car, you could celebrate it's French heritage and just go with the manly-man name of: 'Bruno'. Just some thoughts, Nitro-Nicky
