Borrow a MAF?

Hey guys - Anybody closeby in Sac have a spare MAF that I could borrow for testing purposes? Not for my car, it's for a friend. If it's a spare you want to sell possibly too, that might be arranged as well.

Hit me up ASAP, thanks!

- Del

Re: Borrow a MAF?

Buy one, then return it if it doesn't do what you expected. Why borrow a used worn out unit and trying to make a comparison?

Re: Borrow a MAF?

Well you can see if its been plugged in by looking at the pins. Buuut that's what I'd do. Actually I do that when I can. I have hookups with the parts store, as I am sure you do too Marc. I dont think I have a spare TPI MAF but i'll look tomorrow. My dad might have done an engine on one back in the day.

Re: Borrow a MAF?

Thanks guys. I'm aware of the buy/test method. It's a friend of a friend that's using the sub-par adjustable Granatelli piece like I had at one time. Any old Bosch would've been a suitable comparison to show that G piece is junk. I was just going to do him a favor so he didn't have to drop $200+ temporarily to confirm, no worries.

Re: Borrow a MAF?

Just for a day or 2 tops today or tomorrow. The car is actually over at Rex Hutchinson's joint on Auburn blvd.

I'll shoot you a text later John, if still needed and doesn't put you out. Thanks.

Have my old one to sell shortly, but can't get at it quick enough since it's not at my house.

Thanks for the offers guys. I didn't get a confirmation from my friend, so I'm not going to any great lengths just yet.
