Re: JUNE GTG - Sacramento Raceway + BBQ
Well, if history tells us anything, there will be a token few that flake last minute, for catastrophic reasons of course, haha.
I'm sure we're missing some regulars still. Bennie is probably a maybe, the other Will? Shoot, most everyone else is on that list. Hopefully some more new folks too.
Good thing we're getting there early. We'll need to claim some territory to accommodate such a large group when you consider wives, children and entourages/pit crews.

Nah I can plan to get there sooner if Xitleft is down. I dont know what time Del wants to be there. We can park our thirdgens on each side of an area. Not too far out, but not right up front and tell people to find other places to park? I dunno!

Re: JUNE GTG - Sacramento Raceway + BBQ
Nice job John. Remind me what you did for motor/rear end? Adding Don's headers I remember.
Silver Bullet's chances of makin' it are still 50/50. The new bigger alum radiator didn't fit depth wise once the shroud/fans were on, due to the supercharger bracketry. My "fabricator" is going to work some magic though. Still need the ecm wired, a replacement pipe for MAF, install vacuum pump, couple other small things and a major tune because of the new computer/injectors.
It's funny if you ever tell a non-car person, or maybe a g/f about all the work and $ going into a car and they're like, "What's all that for?". .. "Uh, 3 tenths?, duh!"

Hey Big John! If you need help bro, im down to go over and lend a hand. We can knock it out in one day bro.
Del, Tell you your "Fabricator" to get on the good foot and get her done.
Dude ive been driving the camaro around town these past couple of days, HOLY CRAP! Major difference. And its not even tuned yet. I can drive 40mph, open cutout and smash on the gas, tires will break loose. And its not even tuned yet lol

I ALMOST wasn't going to be coming guys but the wife insists! She got put on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy but we have a few friends that'll be here incase she decides to go into labour while I'm at the track lol. So I will be at the meet, with my wings and the famous Willie Mays door prizes that were won, or will be raced for lol

Re: JUNE GTG - Sacramento Raceway + BBQ
Joey.. when I get settled into my new house we can have wrenching gtgs whenever...
Del.. ditched the vortec/hotcam setup for welded & ported edel base, welded & ported SR runners, 280xfi cam,& ported brodix ik200 heads. Then Dyno Dons headers. Won't be able to justify ballpark power and quarter times until I upgrade the rear gears. But I should have lots more midrange than that SDPC manifold produced. We need to get workin on a cruise or something for July, I really wanna get out and stretch the legs when he's done.
Enragedyouth... It would be classic if she had the baby at the track..haha... In Marcs trailer!!!

Sounds like a better planned setup. I've not heard of "welded" when it comes to the base and runners. I'm assuming stealth ram still by the SR.
Yeah after this big shabang, let's plan a cruise for July. I'm booked 3 of the 5 weekends, but it's a rare 5-weekend month. Maybe somebody else can organize that one.

I have a 1 ton picker and a 1000lb engine stand.. bennie has a 2 ton I believe. I jus bought a house in lincoln. Should have keys on Thursday. Yeah buddy!!!
In regards to welded parts... I had Dr J (DrJsperformance.com) weld extra material on to my SR ( superram) runners and port the hell out of them. Same with the manifold base. Then he just ported the heads.

Ya gotta clay bar first, polish second, and wax last.
Yup, hoist, stand, compressor, some tools.
Glad it's not this weekend, looks to be wet!
