Well we have a lot of the usual suspects down to GTG, so that's a good start.

Just have to find another destination now it seems.

You guys want to meet the following Saturday 2/12 for lunch and BS'n off Arden somewhere and then hit the Autorama at Cal Expo??

I have to propose a GTG every other month to satisfy Vin's 3rd gen needs.

I'd love to go to that. Maybe I can sweet talk my wife into letting me have a day (she owes me several days). But if there is even a threat of a snow storm along I-5, it wont happen If I do get to go, (probably a last minute decision) I will be in my little beater Escort

Definitely not.

If there's anything I need it is some engine parts and a money tree to grow in my backyard to finance the rest of my turdgen.

my money tree has not bore any fruit yet, I will talk to jennifer about the gtg, 66 bucks to get into the door for the 4 of us is a bit steep(10 bucks for parking of 1 car, 2@18, & 2 @10) after a drive to sac, I cannot promise, but we will see.

Yeah I dont blame ya. I am not a big car show person either, especially at the cost of entry and parking but if it's for a GTG i'll bite the bullet.

I am down to go, no dyno though. Do you know how much it cost to get into the show? I am sure parking is around $10, but what about the show entrance fee? Funds suck right now so I just gotta make sure and plan ahead and then I will give you a for sure answer Mr. Del

But you know if I go I am rolling my Prelude, no more 3rdgen Sorry, is that going to be ok?

Re: Sacramento GTG - Lunch/Autorama Sat 2/12

There is no dyno for this GTG and most folks will not be bringing a 3rd gen.

Just lunch and then heading over to Autorama.

Can always park somewhere across the street from Cal Expo and walk in.

Had to sell my 3rdgen due to personal issues and collect money and save it and buy a cheaper car. But get this, it's kinda funny and cool. My Honda is a 91, just like the Camaro, and the generation of my Prelude is a 3rdgen, last year of the 3rdgen Prelude lol, So technically I still have a 3rdgen lol. Hope that helps the haters Trust me, I would have loved to have kept her! But no choice

check this outhttp://www.createforum.com/phpbb/vie...amarogeneratio if we got together with other "clubs" in hopes of making o point some good might come of the day, besides i took a quick scan af the entry form for autorama and it looks like the newest car allowed would be 1972, not many third gens that old

Re: Sacramento GTG - Lunch/Autorama Sat 2/12

they don't have any info up on line yet, bet the "Hot-to-rama" up here in Redding(Anderson, but what difference is 5 miles) http://www.hot-orama.comis a fun car show, they are open to everything, they have spectater events like rock crawling, burn-outs, hop offs, and (for extra fee) on the Saturday night the shasta raceway has circle track racing; lots of 2nd gens. on sunday morning (also extra fee if you want to drive last year I think it was $30 and you need a helmet, but the car show is free on sunday) they have auto-cross racing in the pit parking lothttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1bI7PZdmG4 I don't know this person, but the vid is a good example of how they run the race.

Re: Sacramento GTG - Lunch/Autorama Sat 2/12

Okay folks, specifically those wanting to GTG early Feb...

I don't see anything posted by the other clubs in town as an alternative.

Since this is not a "3rd gen" required event, it's really open to wherever and whatever you want to do just to hang out for a bit somewhere and get some grub. That may or may not appeal to those coming from afar.

I'm available that Saturday still.

This is the stats for it. Possibly could park and walk to avoid that fee, or pile into a few cars to carpool in.

Saturday February 12, 2011 10:00 am until 9:00 pm

Ticket Prices
* $18.00 General Admission (13 years and up)
* $10.00 Kids (6 – 12 years)
* 5 & under Free

Parking
$10.00 General. Parking at the Main Gate as well as the East Gate off of Exposition Blvd.

I dont think any of us were planning on entering our cars.
Yes, in case any of you are confused, this is not for you to enter your 3rd gen, this is a classic car, hot rod type show.

Please shoot a reply in here and then I will email our epic mailing list the confirmed venue.

Great, that's good enough for me then.

Lunch ideas in the Arden/Cal Expo area to meet at?

Here's a few off the top:

Applebees
Hooters
Chipotle
China buffet
Arden Mall stuff

Great, added you vaughnsfirebird.
We haven't picked a meeting spot yet for lunch.
Somewhere that easily accommodates 10+. Open to suggestions.
