She's Back

Just got done with the t5 swap today, and jennifer got to giggle like a little girl when she drove her car today. Next I need to find her a posi for the 3.73 gears in the rear end. Butt....
next up for us will be for me to shift kit and install a 700r4 in my t/a. I am tired of doing my 30 miles a day without overdrive.

Re: She's Back

At least with those 1.73 gears, you could set a land speed record

Re: She's Back

Hey!!! This car is kicking my butt!!! It's a totally NEW beast, Holy crap
Chevy seriously screwed up by NOT making the crossfire a manual. But maybe that's a good thing. I've been getting re-aquanted with my girl and still not sure who is in control, her or me.
Water wants me to take it out to the stree legal night at the Redding Drag Strip. I am actually REALLY NERVOUS about it.

Re: She's Back

Don't be nervous, it's a pretty relaxing place lol. Just watch the people directing things for when to move and where. Go around the water box and get the car straight again for the run down the track. Don't forget, it exits to the left quite a ways down. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it this weekend, maybe the October one.

Re: She's Back

looks like we are not going to make it to the drag strip tonight, maybe in 2weeks. Jen's car has developed a misfire, and mine wants to reject the 700r4 conversion. hopefully by the next street legal night I will have gone through my spare 700r4, and know that if I brake one, then I can still get to work on Monday.

Don't even get me started with the Crossfire-On fire
The other day i was using carb spray to see if there are any vacuum leaks and I found a bad ign. wire then the whole thing burst into flame. fortunately carb spray burns fast, so there was no damage, other than having to tell Jennifer that I cought another one of her camaros on fireat least there are no vacuum leaks, so the high Idle issue I was looking for must be the ecm is confused, the MIL doesn't come on, but the Idle is at about 1200rpm at stop signs, it idles at about 600-800 before driving. I think I need to learn how to "tweek" prom
