1988 Trans Am 1LE on eBay
Don't see these too often. Amazing asking price for a 3rd gen that's not a TTA!

30k, give me a break..
only thirdgen id pay 30k for is one that rides like a new luxury car and can get me to 250mph.

And the only one with "3.48 axel". All this 1LE BS is so over rated.

Did this guy just wake up from a coma? I think a Turbo TGO (Trans Am) would be more rare than that. Is this a real car?

For 30K, it better have 1800 horses under the hood.

I'm going to take a guess and say he doesn't get what he's asking. Nice looking car and more rare technically than the '89 TTA, which were about 1500 made.

And it's a 305cu for 30k ?! Could have a 3rd gen with twice the hp in mint condition for 10k or less. I'm guessing no one that has 30k in cash is dumb enuf.
A 455 4sp might hold its value. Even if it is not one of three, with blue seatbelts and hood pins

Re: 1988 Trans Am 1LE on eBay
First off why would you ever modify that type of car with those retarded mods. Stickers are ugly along with the seatbelts and every other mod he did. And what's wrong with people and their spelling, he can't spell check before he post the ad! Oh, and there is a real TTA around the corner from my house, it was for sale a while back for around $20k, maybe a little under, can't remember. But I would rather have that then this way over priced ugly thing. Only thing I like is the miles.

Re: 1988 Trans Am 1LE on eBay
I've seen plenty of 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Ams sell on Ebay for $30,000.00 or more. Of course that is another difference. Those cars actually sell at that price. While this 1LE car is super rare, the 1LE option doesn't make a car that much more desirable or worth that much more money than other cars in similar condition. The 1LE stickers, hood pins, roll cage, and blue harnesses just devalue this car even further. Honestly I'd say that this car is only worth about $7,500 maximum and that's being generous. I've seen cars in nearly as pristine (that are unmolested with ugly mods) for as little as $6,500.00 or so. It's rare that a third generation car breaks $10,000 and is truly worth the price.

Did this car sell on the ebay auction?
I missed the ebay auction, and would like to see the pictures if anybody saved them.
Any other information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alan

Re: 1988 Trans Am 1LE on eBay
I didn't buy it, I don't know anything about it except what was written about it in this thread.
I just wondered if anyone remembers if the car was sold on ebay or if it was a no-sale, and if anyone saved the pictures/description from the auction.
It sounded like an interesting car, I would just like to know what became of it
