I'll get the ball rolling in the same direction as Vinnie and say 5/3 works for me too.
Possibly more dates, not sure yet when I'm camping.

The 3rd will work for me. Sounds like a good reason to come down with the 24hr flu. I may not be in an f-body though, and def. no third gen, sorry.

What will this GTG entail Marc? Need to give some details to engage interest.
Also, let us know what we can do to help so you don't have to spend so much $/time.

Made this a sticky and I'll shoot a note out to the mailing list later this week to spark more views.
For those that can make all dates, please vote accordingly. Poll closes in 2 weeks.
I allowed for multiple entries in the poll, that way it can be gauged how many would show up on a certain day for a head count.

Re: 2nd Annual Rocklin Autmotive GTG
Farthest driven in in 3rdgen
Best looking 3rdgen
Best engine (mostly stock)
Best engine (heavily modified)
all categories will be voted on by all attending.
Something like that, if anyone has any better ideas..post em.
We need to see if Scribbles will do the cooking.
If someone could get a volunteer to bring/buy the drinks, and another someone to bring/buy some burgers/weiners, buns, etc etc, that would be great. Whoever wants to eat pays $XX pr plate.
I also have a customer that caters & he makes the best BBQ in town, but he is about $15 a plate (drink included). I would definatley need a head count for catering.
Mark Dempski from Fox 40 News still wants to do News/Radio segment on our GTG, so a big turnout w/ alot of 3rdgens would be cool.
Maybe I'll have some TGO shirts whipped up
I drove all the way to the 2nd Annual Rocklin Automotive Thrid Gen GTG, I all I got was this lousey shirt?

Re: 2nd Annual Rocklin Autmotive GTG
I checked into shirts w/ the TGO logo(chevy crest & bird) & letting that says something like "2nd Annual NorCal GTG".
With 3 colors, small logo on front, same logo but bigger on the back ,
on white shirts, it rounds out at $20 pr shirt. (no markup for me at all)
Minimum order is 25 shirts, kinda steep, but maybe its priceless!?!

If it ends up on the 17th I might not be able to make it, got some family coming from out of town that weekend. Once we get a date settled I'll commit to bringing something, doesn't really matter what, whatever we still need.
P.S. I'd go in $20 for a shirt, 2x please.

Re: 2nd Annual Rocklin Autmotive GTG
Looks like its leaning towards the 3rd of May (1st sunday of the month)
Last year we started around noon & it ran till about 4-5pm. All the parking spots got filled up, we even had a couple of corvettes parked in the shop.
Sports Talk 1140 wants to do their Sunday Morning Motorsports segment Live from our car show. Mark Dempski from Fox 40 News is the host.
I had a bunch of prizes, hats stickers, grab bags, to give away & rafflle off.
Looks like we might have some Limited Edition NorCal TGO shirts to sell or raffle off.
It was a good turn oout last year, should be just as good if not better. There will be prizes for the longest disatance driven too!!

Re: 2nd Annual Rocklin Autmotive GTG
Its leaning towards the 3rd, but could go either way. My suppliers are already looking for more fender covers, hats & other goodies.
We need to know who is really gonna show up with their car.
I dont want to have the radio station out there for the same turn out as the Mels GTG. (no offense, thanks to all that attended.)
Its not a big deal if it doesnt fit everybodys schedule, I'm thinking about calling the guys at the Golden State Trans Am club...

I've confirmed the date, I'll be there around noon for sure, unless the car breaks down. What condition are the cars supposed to be in... mine's not exactly showroom material.

Either the 3rd or 24th will be a deff. show for me. Unfortunately I won't be in a 3rd-gen as mine will be engine/trans/life-less for a while, but I am hoping to be driving my '79 Camaro if everyone is tolerant of a less-than-show-worthy 2nd-gen. If not I'll drive the Ranger and park it somewhere else, but i will be there on either the 3rd or 24th regargless.

Well guys and girls, all hot-rods are welcome just like last year. Don't say 3rd Gen car show only because when the 65 GTO popped the hood(last year), everyone was all over that thing. We will do TNT on the 1st of May 6pm-10pm. We need to have the Nor-cal TGO's fastest Fuel Injected 3rd Gen on display.

Cool, close to home for me, only like 5 minute drive!
I'm in the process of getting smog parts for my z28, but I will try to show up in my brother's h/c 89 gta that would be fun! See you guys there for sure.
- Robby
i wasn't there last year as I was out of town.
