I posted in your 3go thread already, looks decent, but not a DD if you sell your 3rd gen and don't have anything else.
Looks like a few cars on the driveway, nothing of the "fun" sort though.
. ..and I suppose I'll leave this one alone since it has 3rd gen content and we can see your hood.

Regional boards are generally a bit more relaxed Mike.
When the BS level reaches a certain point, that's when I feel moderation should be necessary.
If I want to act like an idiot, or BS, I'll go post on 3GO.

Re: So, I got a new DD yesterday
Speaking of DD's I just aquired a 2003 RSX type s w/ 60k on the clock. This car is great for driving everywhere all day, I'm happy I have it now. Hopefully I can find a place to keep my Camaro so I don't have to sell it, but its for sale until I can find such a place. One of the shitty things about living with my parents . I need a garage or something for it, i don't want to let it rot out in the sun, I can't drive it either as I had to take off the insurance for it.
Anyone else get new DD's!

Re: So, I got a new DD yesterday
I picked up and Audi A4 Quattro a couple months ago. I just put a short throw shifter, chip, cai, RS4 engine mounts, GS snub, 18" AZA Z2's, H&R race springs, Bilsteins, Kamei grill, smoked sidemarkers on it. I just hit 400 miles to the tank this weekend so I'm happy. Wifey says I get to finish the Formula in March. I'll have 6-$7,000 to put into it.

Re: So, I got a new DD yesterday
mine was 14k, the kbb said 18 so I jumped on it lol. That's cool you got a 4th gen Del, do you like how it performs? I'm sure its a nice driver if you leave it relatively stock. Saw the pictures of it, looks pretty damn clean!
Steve, sweet Audi you got there. I'm liking those wheels, alot!

It's weird driving late 80's rides all your life and then jumping into the 21st century, hah.
The price was great too.
Robby - My buddy has had an '02 RSX for a few years, he seems to like it, but he paid close to 20 for it at the time. I think dealers now are only wanting to give him 13-14 for it.
TMoNeE - The price you paid for your Benz is not important, or 3GO isn't?
Steve - 6-7K on the Formula? Yowsa! . ..and what did the Audi set you back?
That's a lot of mods in a short time.

Re: So, I got a new DD yesterday
Book on it is $9,500, I got it for $4,400 The check engine light was on and he thought it was going to cost a couple g's to fix. It was a $36 coolant sensor and 1 of the o2 sensors, so for $200 I fixed it. It runs like a dream and pulls hard, all those 200 horses. I most likely will buy a pes supercharger ( Eaton, oem for benz, audi, etc) for the audi for $3,500 which comes with injectors, ecu, 9lb and 12lb pullies. and finish the Formula with what's left, haven't decided yet. The s/c would give the Audi 300hp at the wheels which would be fun with instant power and awd. They sound like the Cobra s/c's.

Re: So, I got a new DD yesterday
Del - I know what you mean about the difference you feel when you get into a thirdgen and then into a 4th gen. Both have their perks, and 4th gens in good condition like you have will make great dailys with plenty of room for having a little fun. Glad your enjoying it! As far as the value of the acura, I think the fact that the paint has a few imperfections in it (scratches, chips) that I was able to talk down the previous owner and from a few other small things I pointed about the car. I would probably guess I could trade it in for about that if I decided to.
I'm glad I got a 6 speed again though, I missed rowing through the gears.
Steve - I didn't even know they made s/c kits for Audis that's pretty sweet. If you did do all of that stuff to it I think it would be able to give the Formula a run for its money haha. Have you decided on whether your going to do the T56 swap to it yet?

Re: So, I got a new DD yesterday
T56 IS coming this winter. I don't think the Audi will even be a match for the Formula. The Audi should only be in the mid/high 12's and the Formula should hit 11's n/a. I still might go s/c on the Formula instead of the Audi.
Tmonee, You must be doing pretty well, new house, new benz, get to keep the Camaro. Congrats!

Re: So, I got a new DD yesterday
Just an FYI folks, I did receive a complaint in regards to this post.
I do appreciate the effort to keep threads 3rd gen related, so as I stated for the user, in the interest of good camaraderie, I am leaving this post open at my own discretion.
This does not mean future posts will receive similar attention, so don't let me regret it.
Thanks for your concern.

Those header bolts on the passenger side are a pain to get to for sure. I used a long boxed end ratcheting wrench and it was a little better.

Re: So, I got a new DD yesterday
It amazes me that someone would actually complain about a post of our daily drivers... its nice to know updates about those that we know in person but apparently it offends someone so much they have to take the time out of their day to complain to a moderator about it. I'm sorry but that is rediculous.

It wasn't any regular from "our" forum and it really doesn't matter.
Just thought I'd make you guys cognizant of what I have to deal with to keep you content here, haha.

Since my IROC burns/leaks 1-2 qts. of oil between changes I try to rotate my means of transportation. If we're green lighted to show our other DD's:
Wife's grocery getter/lumber hauler
When I want to save some gas.....
And to keep this post 3rd gen related, even though it's not a "driver" yet, my project '54 will be powered by a TPI 5.7/700R4/10 bolt w/3:73 posi.
Notice the ECM on the pass. side
