Salvage yards
Does anyone know of any Salvage yards that have a good selection of Third Gen parts in the Northeast region of the US? I live in Northeast PA on the NY border. I am looking for a bunch of parts for my rebuild.

Re: Salvage yards
I am in need of some good clean manual doors with ground effects, a high rise spoiler. I am looking for a good posi rear axle and v8 Transmission(like everyone else) I am also looking for a few other items. I just can't buy it all at once because money is short and this is a 5-10yr restoration plan

Re: Salvage yards
You could try Harry's in Hazelton or E Z Pull in new ringgold PA. Third gens seem to be drying up at the yards though, and all the good stuff usually gets picked pretty fast.

Re: Salvage yards
Yeah that's the problem with the yards that are close by. I haven't been to Harry's in at least 2 years and plan on going back this next month. Do you know if they will allow me to use a hack saw in the yard since there are no power tools allowed.

Re: Salvage yards
I don't think they care about hack saws. I've seen people butcher stuff beyond belief to get a part. I only see the power tools restriction on the price list.

Re: Salvage yards
Yeah I saw the power tool restrictions I just wasn't sure if they would freak if I took a hack saw in. It's a 2 1/2 hr drive and I don't want to **** them off and not be allowed inside.

Re: Salvage yards
Yeah I went to Harrys in Hazelton when that cash for clunkers was around and almost cried when I saw a bunch of v8's that were useless bc of the stuff they had to pour into the block for that "deal"

Re: Salvage yards
I went to Harrys February 1st and looked through 22 Camaros and a handful of firebirds. I bought a car full of interior parts and a piece of the quarter panel for a total of $22. I will be going back this summer after they receive more of these cars and its a tad bit warmer haha
