Typical of cars where a brake hose collapses internally and acts as a check valve.

the guys brake lights never came on until after the car was airborne. ( looks like brake lights in the first dust cloud before the bridge)

Re: Cruiser cam catches 100 mph crash

Wow... Maybe he had steering problems like idler arm/centerlink etc.. I had massive play/pulling to one side when i bought my car and when i replaced those peices all was good.. I also put in LS1 brakes up front and it brakes 10 times better than stock.. If you wanna go 100mph you need to have all these peices in check but obviously not going 100mph on the freeway is a better alternative. :S

Incredible that anybody could survive that, I wonder how far he fell after getting ejected.

I don't think my man had and mechanical problems, he was just going soooo fast that he panicked when he saw the trooper in his lane and he swerved to miss him. There was probably a car in the center lane, so his only "out' was to go on the median to avoid hitting the slower moving vehicles. He was moving so fast that the fact that there was a bridge coming up did not even register with him till it was too late. The title of the artice says 100 mph, but I think he was moving faster than that. The trooper had to be doing 75 - 80 at least.

My 2 cents.

If you look carefully he lands in front of the silver car in the right hand lane.

Re: Cruiser cam catches 100 mph crash

Police are looking into what role if any speed had to play in this accident, thats funny to me. Im thinking it was painfully obvious. Tough to steer your car out of the grass at over 100 mph, bad choice on the drivers part.
