2008 East Coast F-Body Nationals
The East Coast F-Body Nationals is an event hosted by the New Jersey F-Body Owners Association to celebrate our club's birthday each year. Going into the planning of the fourth edition of the East Coast Nats, we invite everyone to spend a weekend with us racing, showing, and enjoying the cars and people that bring us together as enthusiasts.
To see all of the discussion and details as the event comes together, please visit the 2008 East Coast F-Body Nationals forum on the NJFBOA website by clicking this link, http://www.njfboa.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32

Host Track:
Island Dragway

Host Hotel: TBA

Friday Night Fights:
The annual tradition of kicking off the East Coast Nats weekend with the traditional Pony Car war continues. A simple format that is more about having fun than anything else brings us together to celebrate the best that GM and F*rd have to offer.
Join us Friday night at Island Dragway, as we run the 1320' to settle the great question of who really is better.

Saturday Charity Car Show: TBA
This is a new feature for the 2008 East Coast F-Body Nationals. We are looking to fill in the gap between the traditional Friday Night Fights and the East Coast Nats on Sunday. The obvious choice is to get together for some fun and comradery to benefit charity.
Details about location, times, and the benefit charity will be announced as details are worked out.
2008 East Coast F-Body Nationals:
The main event of the weekend!!!
The East Coast Nats is a celebration to bring together all owners, friends, and fans of GM's F-Body platform.
Sunday is the day that is all goes down. There are two foot brake style brackets and an open electronics style bracket class (http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=30811), three heads up drag racing classes(http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=30815), and a huge car show that brings out the best and some of the rarest F-Bodies ever built (http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=30808).
With so many great people, so many great cars, goodie bags for the first 500 people through the gates on Sunday, tons of prizes, bunches of give aways, and a pile of trophies, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy.
We look forward to seeing everyone out at Island Dragway for the 2008 East Coast F-Body Nationals.

Re: 2008 East Coast F-Body Nationals
some updates have been made to the heads up rules!!!
Outlaw Heads-Up has been changed to a "stock style" suspension class
Since we are going to a stock suspension formula, we will be making revisions to the weight requirements for the class to equalize N/A, Nitrous, and Boosted applications.
Hot Street Heads-Up has had some additional tire sizes added to allow for a few alternate tire and gear combo's.
The discussion of splitting the N/A cars into a separate Hot Street class are still ongoing, but it is something that we would like to do.

Re: 2008 East Coast F-Body Nationals
Just did a few final updates to the Heads-Up racing rules.
Based on some of the feedback we have received over the last few weeks we split the Hot Street Heads-Up class into Hot Street N/A Heads-Up and Hot Street Power Adder Heads-Up.
There is still room for a little more tweaking as far as weights and we are looking for suggestions for supercharger size limits in the Hot Street Power Adder Class.
The Bracket Racing program and Car Show are also finalized.
There will be a lot of new information about the East Coast Nats in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for all the latest updates.
Please take some time to look over the classes and rules to see where your car may in. We look forward to seeing you all out at the 2008 East Coast F-Body Nationals
