Me!

CaysE has decided that it's time to move on, and before he goes, I want to say thanks for a job well done.

I've been in this forum often enough to see that it generally runs like clockwork and as a result, it's not likely that I'll have much moderating to do at all. This forum has a good group of guys that get along well and I think that you'll all make my job very easy.

One thing I would like to change though, is the number of people that visit this forum. I'm sure there are a lot of guys on the board from the north east, and it's time to get them in here so that activity can pick up. Take a minute to invite any thirdgenner that you know online or in your area to come in and take a look, and maybe make a post or two.

Good to know we are in good hands, Jim. Thanks for your efforts on the site, I know it's all volunteer work.

I'm in the Northeast, but rarely come in here, as they are not too many guys from my immediate surroundings.

Hey Jim, I normally take a peek in here, every so often. Its funny that you mention picking up new members, as I always tell people, with third gens, at cruises, and the track, to pay us a visit.

Just want to say Hi! Just got my third gen and am enjoying (and learning a lot!) on the forum. btw, my first car when I was 17 in 1976 was a '68 327 2bbl auto, then in the early '80s I had a second gen, a '74 that I rodded into a 400hp LT-1. So now the 3rd gen. Having these forums sure does speed up the learning curve. When I was a younger punk time was spent prowling junk yards and looking in the dark corners of older guys shops for those oh so hard to find 202 heads and other assorted goodies. Now I prowl around e-bay, and other forums looking for stuff, the modern mans junk yard and encyclopedia all rolled into one! Joe

Welcome as a moderator . I would suggest a Misc. Discussion board that excludes politics, etc. I didnt see a special spot for that but i dont spend alot of time here, just an idea.

Thirdgen.org, as a whole, has chosen to be a forum that focuses on technical content only, i.e. no non-tech or off-topic discussion. The regional boards are a bit more relaxed in that regard, but not to the extent that we can bring back a non-tech board.

Re: Say Hello to your new Moderator!

Hi Jim. I have an 83Z28 that is an interesting project. I am also an artist that paints strictly chevys, and especially camaros. If anyone wants a painting of thier ride, they can see some of my work in my garage. Third gens rock!

Re: Say Hello to your new Moderator!

Hi Jim, I am a big third gen fan, i love this site and check in often. I find it to be a great site for help and info. I have had two camaros. Sold my dream car,86 yellow Iroc 16 years ago. Found my way back and bought a 89 RS, not a Iroc but is a fun car. I love the guys on here! I have 4 Sons and none are car freaks like me
So i enjoy the enthusiasm of the young kids here!!!
