NJ Based All F-body Show

well, now that i am back i am caught up in my old plans again.
i am workin on organizing another all f-body event here in new jersey. the idea is similar to before, but now i have found soem people to help me with teh work and to support teh event with a bit of financial backing.
here is the link to the early discussion about the event. http://www.njfbody.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=327
we are still in the initial plannign stages of the show, so there is nothing set in stone yet. hopefully things will start moving forward once i get done talkin to a few of the tracks tomorrow

please lay your suggestions for the show here. the more feedback i get now the better the show will be once it comes off.

You can count me in too as long as I'm back together.

One question though,I would have posted this on the other board but they ask for too much info for my comfort,is with regards to no transbrakes.

Is this limited only too electronic transbrakes or are you not allowing any transbrakes(like manually operated through the shifter)?

Reason I ask is I use a brake to build boost at the line and not using one will cause me to be a half second or more slower, which to me means I wont be racing(no fun if you cant go as fast as you possibly can).I think if you are not going to allow transbrakes then make sure to call this a footbrake class, as most no electronics classes at local tracks that I have been to allow brakes.

What's wrong Steve, afraid I might beat you with no brake after I get the motor together? .

I hear what you're saying though. But since I'm running a 700r4 and no way in hell even a race 700r4 will hold a T-brake it doesn't affect me

Hey if your back together by then I'll have to run ya, brake or not

I was just trying to clarify weather this was going to be no electronics or footbrake racing. I am totally for no electronics, such as throttle stops and delay boxes but not allowing transbrakes and slowing some cars down doesnt make sense to me in a bracket class, scince going faster doesnt mean your gonna win. In a heads up class then maybe thats a different story.

So Tony, when are ya gonna line up next to me

COUNT ME IN and HPP magazine

Glad to see this club is here. I've spent several years starting and helping my old Thunderbird and Cougar club, but now that those cars are gone and replaced with my '90 Formula I need a place to hang. Let me know what I can do to help.

I invite and encourage all of you Firebird guys to join me and others at the Pontiac day at Englishtown April 10th. Polish 'em up and run 'em hard b/c I've got strick orders from my editor to bring back good 3rd and 4th Gen feature cars.

Sounds good to me. I'm within an earshot of Atco and this will provide a great opportunity to debut the Vortec Iroc
