Re: Speed Shops in Waukesha/Milwaukee

There really isnt any speed shops that you can just hang out at and work on your car anymore, thats best for a friends garage. Insurance is the real reason.....things were a lot different back in the time of your dad being a young man.

As for speedshop work.....everyone has an opinion, Borcharts has been around for a very long time. In waukesha there is Engine Builders on Arcadian/Greenfield....though i have not been impressed with some of the work i have seen from them. There is also Kilpatricks down by sunset and popular dr (foxrun). There is also a machine shop in the heart of waukesha near the post office and the Parts Hut, it actually sits behind it.

Like is said before, you wont find a speed shop to sit and chill and work on your car, thats best for a buddies garage......but since a new sonic is being built on moorland by the steins garden center.....im thinking that will be a good place to just chill with a group of people.

If you have any other questions email me or stop in at the sunset Autozone, ask for me(Nick) or Carlos, both of us know the area and third Gens very well.

Nick

Re: Speed Shops in Waukesha/Milwaukee

We have an experienced mechanic at our shop who has owned many f bodies and does all our performance work from turbo kits to motor swaps. He is currently doing my LT1 swap in my 91 camaro. Give us a call or stop by and see me. Stay tuned customs 1630 arcadian ave. Waukesha, WI 262-542-8863 I'll be there late many nights for the next few months as we get my car ready for shop demo and possible sponsor touring.
