livin in MPLS, got me my 89 bird. rebuilt 2.8L MPFI, rebuilt in a machine shop on gasoline alley in indianapolis. 106,xxx on the odometer, less than 10K on the rebuild. not a looker yet, no pix, but i'll get em up soon enough. she needs paint bad, got clear coat coming off all over, and it's down to primer in spots on the hood and pop up lights. interior is rough but passable. i love it though. Firebirds/TAs are my favorite car ever, and this is my third Pontiac (2 grand ams before this).
so yeah, that's my intro, here's what else is up:
been running into a few hangups getting her on the road. put in a new fuel pump. when doing the filter, gas lines fell apart, so we fixed those. she purrs now, oh so nice. on my way to work, the front right brake locked up, so we replaced the caliper and the master cylinder. found a leak in the brake lines to the back right, replaced it. bled the brakes in back, but up front won't bleed. we (grandpa and i) figure it's clogged/pinched lines.
so yeah, problems a plenty, but it'll be worth it, cuz this kid finally has his dream car. where's my MN folks at?
