1993 Firehawk rims on 91/92 Formula

Anyone have any pics of 93-95 Firehawk ROH rims on 91-92 Formulas?

Also anyone know if the wheels are the same as 94-96 impala SS wheels? The Firehawk wheels seem to have a wider lip than the impala ones imo but not sure.

Impala wheels have a 5 x 5 bolt pattern and f-bodies have a 4 3/4 x 5 so there's 1 difference

yes I knew that, visually they look almost identical they are both 17s but just looking at pics the Firehawk ones look a bit more deep dish, but I’ve never seen em in person so hard to say for sure.

Same wheel company and wheel design, ROH, manufactured both the Impala SS and F-body wheels but offered them to GM/SLP in vehicle specific fitments. The owner of Group A wheels in Chandler, AZ was the importer. He also imported Simmons wheels though GM didn't use those. He had a pretty close relationship with GM in the 90s.

I figured they were the same company but after looking closely at pictures of the two online I did notice that the Firehawk ones have a wider lip and are more deep dish than the impala ones.

So just picked up a set of ROH zr6s and they are not identical to the 93-96 impala SS rims. Yes they look the same but the ROH zr6 are much more deep dished and have a wider lip as well.

Not the best pic but they look pretty good I think.

Does the center cap not sit flush with the wheel?

no it doesn’t it sticks out very slightly but the screw hole still lines up and should hold pretty good. I’ll leave these until I can find a set of 93 Firehawk caps.

Must be the picture or something, looks like it sticks out VERY far. You could try having some of the cap machined off to get them flush

yea It does look like it sits out more but i hadn’t fully screwed it on that’s why.

I was thinking of just doing that if I can’t find a set I’ll most likely go that route.

I’ve tried finding a set of ronals for years now but no luck sites always say back order and I doubt I’ll ever find an original set. So these 93 Firehawk wheels were my next best option. Love the deep dish look on them.

They actually look pretty good one there. Nice alternative to the Ronal R15. I feel like these aren't exactly a common wheel to find either though.

thanks

yea they look pretty good It was nearly impossible to find the R15 wheels so these were my next choice and yes these are also pretty hard to find. Most people think they are the same as 94-96 impala ss rims but they are not, they are much deeper dished like the R15s and wider at 9.5 inch same as the front R15’s.
