Re: Sex Machina: Linson's Formula Version 3.0
It's a must have for Formula hoods.
I had to buy the entire insert to get the one that'll go in my rolling dumpster fire.
For that matter it took a few years to find one for my 91 Formula. Seems like there are plenty out there, but they can be hard to come by.

How much are early TA hoods worth? There are several more where I bought mine last summer

Find one that's aluminum, and PM me, email me, get my attention. Otherwise the standard steel version is pretty common and hard to get rid of. Took a few years to sell one I had, and I found a couple when I started looking again. The one I bought is flawless, $75.

Worth about 75-150 but if its those KITT people, they pay ungodly amounts for things. Even a company out there that makes the hood in fiberglass and it has the correct underhood bracing to look like a factory steel hood
Now if it's aluminum........ people can get really nuts for those..

I definitely think the vents reduce some heat and pull some fresh air in

Having the scoop open definitely lets some heat out, you can see it when the conditions are right. Mine has been uncorked since I brought the car home. Kinda stinks because whenever I was the car, I have to stuff an Absorber in the scoop to keep from getting the engine compartment wet. Water still gets in, no matter how careful you are, leaves water marks on the hood liner if you're not really careful about it. I've had a block off plate for years now, it's still never been in my hood. It's nice to have a hood that actually does something even if it's a bit inconvenient.

A nice addition to the screen is the water drip/drain tray. I have that on mine, it seems to help a bit.
