Getting spring fever!

I was going through my photo library and backing up some items on my laptop when I came across these pics I took last summer.

Not sure about everyone else here, but I am itching for the weather to break so I can get the Bird out and use the skinny pedal.

Yup, Spring Fever and red Formula's - a formula for satisfaction.
Nice Formula MJS422! How many miles/owners? Looks like a good car for Mid-Ohio runs.

Re: Getting spring fever!

Thanks! The car has 95k. I believe I am the 5th owner. When I bought the car it was not in very good shape. It took a lot of work to get this far, but totally worth it to save a factory 5spd TPI car.

As for Mid Ohio, I have given it some thought to head down there for a fun day. My boss keeps putting a bug in my ear about going. He is a Porsche guy and heads down there through club sponsored events.

You did a real fine job!

I should have mine out of storage next week. In 5 weeks, I'll be here, again:

I don't think I'll make it on track this year - $$$, but I will be there watching. The Mark Williams 12 bolt and Wilwood rear brakes w/e-brake broke me.

Re: Getting spring fever!

MJS422-The Formula looks fantastic! I have thought about taking mine around the block a few times, but it still is sleeping. The winter has taken a terrible toll on the roads here and there are major potholes everywhere!! I am afraid they all won't be fixed soon. And the ones that will be patched-then dealing with the tar is another issue (esp on a white car-lol)

How are the roads around you?
Here is mine-taken a few weeks ago.

Re: Getting spring fever!

Kymee,

Thanks for the kind words. That means a lot coming from a COTM winner. Congrats!!
That TA is awesome. 89 was a water mark year for Pontiac, and you have two of best performers for that year. Now you just need to round out your collection with a 5 speed TPI car. You really have that Formula looking great! Glad it went to good home.

The roads by me are not very good. To quote my grandfather "I've driven on bombed out roads in Korea that were in better shape than here."
So it will be awhile till I bring the car out. When I do we should plan a day to get together with cars. Compare notes and may be snap a few pics. May be have your someone bring your TA also. A good picture of the three top performers for that year together would be worth having, and create quite a buzz around here for sure.

Happy spring!
