Hey Tony.
I had planned on Alston "inner" SFCs for my car (T-top). Just curious what these DID and DID NOT do for you compared to your hopes and expectations (understanding that this is a convertible, which adds some additional challenges).

I think they were Alston style inner that i welded on. they did help a little, maybe i had higher expectations that they would work as well as the outters i liked to use back in the day.

Spohn make outers specifically for the Verts. Some on TGO have used both. I bet that would really get the Unibody closer to modern rigidity!

Haven't had a lot of time to drive it this year, plus the old cats rattling and the weird front suspension pop and clunk when turning have really kept me out of it. Thanks to "gotopless", the
"new" cats came the otherday, so there's 1 fix. Have bilstein struts for the front and new frontend rebuild parts, now i just need the time!

They are the original AC brand GM used for RPO code N10, but since these don't have the after cats Y pipe part, they are probably over the counter replacements or even maybe for the ZZ crate motor kit for Fbody.

the 90's LT5 is a wonderful engine in many respects including its looks... i have a ~12K mile '90 ZR-1 and it is quite nice... the engine can have some quirks with the complexity of the injectors, induction system control, starter, etc... also the ECMs are reliable and your typical chip burning, but spare ECMs are pricey

When you find a nos bumper without front plate holes drilled, you buy it.
Pretty nice surprise to find 2 more dirty but nos parts inside the bumper cover.. score
