Re: my first 84 trans am

I would say thats a pretty good price considering the condition and low miles. I know IROCS go for twice or triple that with low miles and mint condiiton.

Re: my first 84 trans am

I paid $4.5K for mine, and it had 120xxx miles on it, but it's in good condition. Yours looks beautiful! Not feeling all of that extra pin striping though.

I don't care for the pin stripping either, but other than that you have an awesome car! Congrats! What kind of engine, tranny, rear? Good luck!

You can have it removed for fairly cheap if you really wanted to...*please do it*...but it's up to you. Beautiful car though, interior looks great!

Re: my first 84 trans am

Oofta, the engine bay needs a little work. Looks like it had a subwoofer/amp setup, and those washer/coolant bottles are nasty. You can get those brand new at Hawks Third Gen parts, as well as taking your air cleaner assembly off, cleaning the rust off of it, and repaint it. Then just degrease it and should be a nice clean engine bay.

yeah it had subwoofer but they took it out and left the cables in there.

i was thinking about cleaning the engine bay a little, i was also thinking about painting the air cleaner. with black and add some lettering to it.

nah it's just dust and little bit of rust on the air cleaner the owner said it was sitting in the barn for years and collecting all that dust and rust but anyway who really knows what they did to it .

i also noticed some wires are cut.

Re: my first 84 trans am

Looks good man! That engine bay should clean up pretty easily. I'd say a nice, solid body like you appear to have is more important than a perfect engine bay anyways, not always easy to find rust-free thirdgens. That your camaro in the pictures as well?

Re: my first 84 trans am

Awesome car man that thing looks mint!
You have a bit of an odd car... Either it is a Recaro edition T/A or it is a black and gold T/A with Recaro option seats... both of which are pretty rare. Has your car been repainted at one point? The tan interior, the GFX decal that wraps around the fender lip + the L69 HO 305 would point to it being a recaro. Good luck with it bro!
