Damn man, that is a work of art! When I finally have enough money to put an LS1 under my hood, I'm either gonna make it look as good as that or make it look stock so people ask if it came like that.

An Lt1 with coilpacks. My freaking dream.
The only thing I really don't like is the fram oil filter. Get the K&N 3002, it holds an extra .5 quart of oil also, other than the fact its a way better filter.

HOLY ****! Id be scared to drive that thing and get it dirty now. Id have to build a display case for it. GREAT JOB, that is so clean!! You pretty much did everything perfect on that LT1 and I do believe I just came.
edit: I really love those custom fuel rail covers too! Got any close up pics?

Re: ...LONG awaited engine PICS...LOTS AND LOTS!!!
Thanks for the props!
TransAm12sec: No, haven't been to Great Lakes Dragaway, nor am I in chitownracing.com. I pretty much do my own thing. I might get more involved w/ a group called "notfwd.com". But other than that, just me. I'm gonna get out to shows and stuff more/less next summer. This summer I'm gonna run as is, and in the winter, spruce up the interior and repaint the exterior (same color, but I'm picky, lol).
Can't remember exactly the name of the paint I used for the bay. I sandblasted the whole thing and made the fuse panel area along w/ smoothing out the towers and what not before application. 3 coats w/ around 4 clears. I'll try and get the info on the paint when I get a chance.
Again, thanks for the recognition!
Oh yeah, and a quick note: "383 LT1, custom grind cam, stage 2 p/p heads, 1 7/8 shorties, 3" exhaust, custom 4l60e w/ shift kit, etc. etc., 58mm as&m tb, and Edge 2800 stall"...

I really like what you did with the fusebox. I might look into moving it on mine someday. The stock location has got to be the absolutely worst place to have it.

Stock location is bad, but that being said, I'm still using that location, as well as a few other locations for fuses, as I ran out

Re: ...LONG awaited engine PICS...LOTS AND LOTS!!!
So beautiful it almost brings tears to my eyes. What you've done is exactly what I am in the process of doing. Any tips you wanna throw my way would be awesome. Also wouldn't mind knowing what parts you installed onto your engine. There's so many parts out there I have no idea where to being. And lastly, how did you do away with the aweful optispark and swap to coil packs?

Re: ...LONG awaited engine PICS...LOTS AND LOTS!!!
Thank you!!! I didn't lose the opti. I'm still using the optical portion of it for high/low res signals to the Delteq. Bored/Stroked 383, Stage 2 heads, custom grind cam, 3.27 9 bolt (not as bad as I thought it'd be), LS1 Alum. Driveshaft, built to $hit 4l60e lol, Edge 2800 verter, SLP 1 3/4 shorties, magnaflow 3" hi-flo cat, 3" stinger catback (discontinued by Banks), then a bunch of other $hit, Baer brakes, Spohn everything, Eibach's w/ Bilsteins, etc. etc.

Re: ...LONG awaited engine PICS...LOTS AND LOTS!!!
Are those valvle covers on the correct sides LH/RH for the LT1? I want them and have the part numbers but I was going to get "2" of the ones with the PCV hole for my L98 instead of one of each. So I guess my question is which part number is for the one with the PCV hole?
Tottally BA by the way, wish I had the time and facilities to make my car look that good, I tried but failed. Working outside on the diry sucks

WOW, that is nice!!! I had a Formula that looked exactly like yours for many years. The attention to detail is amazing!
I am in the Chicago area also and would love to see this car in person. Do you go to any cruise nights or shows in the area?

Re: ...LONG awaited engine PICS...LOTS AND LOTS!!!
I've been out of date w/ these threads. My notices have stopped comin' for some reason! Anyways, thanks again for the props. Haven't been to any cruise nights yet, or shows. I'm going to start going though! Still want my new paint job and some interior stuff done before I enter the shows, but who knows, I've seen worse at the shows! lol...
