My 84 Camaro Update
Hey guys, I haven't been on allot for a while. But now I got myself a new labtop so now I'm excited to get back into TGO. Anyway, I wanted to show you guys my Camaro as it sits now. I haven't posted about my car in here since I bought it in 08! I haven't done as much as I would have liked but I still have it and still plan on rebuilding the entire car sooner or later.
The Camaro is an 84 Sport Coupe, with a 305 LG4, and a 700r4 tranny (auto).
I swapped the rear end out for a rear end from an 88 iroc, with disc brakes! It bothered me having drums on that thing lol. i also put the ground effects from that same iroc on my car. Being a sport coupe the car didn't come with ground effects. I put an aftermarket alarm system on it, that can be too sensitive sometimes. I upgraded the headlights to 10K HIDs.
I wanted to talk a little about the body too. You may have seen the front camaro badge is gone. That is because the donor car was like that when I got it. So i stuck with it, I kinda think it gives it a clean/custom look. what do you think? I also took the iroc badges on it and plan on making some custom inserts. I dont like the idea of putting iroc badges on a camaro that isn't one.
These are some pics before i put the gfx on.

I just took these pics because I was eager to post this. So I didn't clean it before hand.

The car looks good.
Did you have it in storage?
I noticed in one pic it looked like no plate on it and another pic looked like a temporary plate.
Any additional future plans for it?

I checked out your ride on your photobucket, its a nice ride, coolwheels. I like your emblems. Where did you buy them? I was thinking of making my own, maybe a chevy symbol.

Re: My 84 Camaro Update
I found a guy on eBay that was selling a set of chrome "Camaro" emblems for a third gen
I contacted him and asked where he got them because I hadn't seen any like that and
He said that he makes them so I had him make me a set. Think i paid around $120 for them shipped

Re: My 84 Camaro Update
When did you buy them coolwheels? I just looked and there is a guy selling some custom stainless steel emblems for $1-2, and $6 for shipping if you buy it now. I'm thinking about hopping on that right now!

Re: My 84 Camaro Update
These are what I just found, I actually bought a set as well, $7 shipped. He's got a lot of different color combinations too. But he says that they are not perfect and may have yellowing, or small blisters in the powder coating. And all sales are final, no exchanges or returns. He also makes no metion of them being for third gens either, but the measurements are 1.25in by 7in, which is pretty dead on to the iroc emblem I measured.
