Story of my old 86

Well about two years ago i owned a base model 86 it was red v6 5 speed with a blown headgasket for $1000 bought it tore the motor down well the lifters had literally exploded inside so pulled motor and trans bought a 355 and t56 for i belive $1200 total well about a month after that i needed the money and sold everything off for $2000 so fast forward two years to present day now have my 3rd 86 camaro 2nd iroc looking for interior pieces get a tip that theres a 86 and 2000 camaro sitting at a local salvage yard get there start looking through this car good hatch interior plastics and i see something familiar theres a silver button, wait the interior has been dyed........ then it hits me.... this is my old car..... immediately froze up and got the chill's after two years and never thinking i would see it again... it even has the same plates from when i owned it.. Well i wound up paying $35 for the interior plastics and drivers door handle. Pics below of when i had it.

It's sad, especially if you were a previous owner, to see a car just picked apart and tossed into a yard for it to rot.

BTW I know IROC's have "5.7 Tune Port Injection" on the left of the rear bumper, but what does it say on Sport Coupes? I can't make it out on the pictures.

Re: Story of my old 86

It looks like dirt or scratches. See, the lower bumper has the same markings they are just a bit longer

Re: Story of my old 86

That's crazy that you found your old car there. Sad to see her left to die, but at least she can help others live on.
