Hang in there!
Try to find some small projects that you can work on indoors during the winter. Refinishing wheels, cleaning/painting small parts (alternator/compressor/coolant and washer bottles), etc. Things that will make a big difference in the end, but that you wouldn't want to spend a beautiful summer day doing.

Probably finish redoing my wheels and since most the things you listed are new I'll find something to do need to buy all the parts so by the time spring rolls around she can get painted finally

Re: My new $300 86 Iroc-z28
If it were me, I'd close off the carport with temporary insulated walls, throw a electric heater out there and work thru the winter.. 2x4's or 6's -- some exterior plywood that matches your house and a few rolls of insulation or the stiff foam block stuff cut to fit.. Can even get a cheap door to put in.. Build it to fit inbetween your existing stucture and get latches or something as so they can be removed when not needed or you want to back the car out.. That is if this is where your building the car?

Glad to see you still want to see this through. You are getting close to the end. I've been peeking in now and again and look forward to the finished product. Would even come up from KC to see it. 2 kids and soon to be year 4, I understand your desire to be showing the car and no longer building it. Don't stop, there are a lot of us who are looking forward to you finally getting to enjoy all of your efforts.

I used VHT Night-shades for my lights and it works great. Can ran me around $15 at the local parts store (Autozone). You spray it on in layers to get the level of darkness you want. I went with three coats on my tail lights and maker lights and they look black.

Re: My new $300 86 Iroc-z28
A lot has gone on cars back up and driving still missing like a **** specifically cyl 6 and it bogs it down hard had wife follow me home one night said it was spitting flames so its backfiring and dumping way to much fuel also when she was following me home called me and said my back driver wheel was wobbling pull into gas station and I have two loose lugs holding wheel on sheered off two studs great and trans is still have issues if I beat on it hard enough I'll lose drive then have to go back to 1st or second gear then once I get going I can put it in drive or od oh not to mention I had drove to O'Reillys the day before to have codes read(how I found out about cyl6) shut the car off so they could scan it then go to start it and nothing long story short spent 3 1/2 hours in the lot trying to get car going pulled batt and starter both were good then I notice a loose ground on back of head ****.... All that because of a loose wire...... Car definitely needs sealed up wind noise and keeping the heat in car is ridiculous tomorrow going see if I can track down the misfiring issue

After following your build for the past few years I'm starting to wonder if your camaro just plain doesn't like you lol! Keep fighting the good fight and you'll get her running in no time.

Re: My new $300 86 Iroc-z28
Starting to believe she just plain hates me this happened ball joint let go while i was going to work caused a arm to drop out of spindle didn't break anything else glad it didn't cut the tire either fixed it on the side of the road in 10° weather had it fixed within an hour so far drove it 3 times to work and home with no issues so far going try and daily it till it gets warm then going pull the trans and get it sent off to a reputable local builder next is basically getting it fully road worthy to where I'm not worried about stuff breaking and gathering what I need for the car to get painted in the spring can't wait oxford white is going look so good on it other than that just enjoying the fact that I get to drive her even if she is like a cockroach everytime I think I got all the annoying bugs gone I seem to drop a crumb and they come scurrying back however I am pretty sure I got the missfires fixed had spark plugs misgapped and o2s were bad

Got a lot done this weekend along with the wheels/tires trunion upgrade done, rear shocks, wot problem fixed, fixed steering column, upped the nitrous shot, ordered a bottle heater, bought an astro steering shaft to get rid of the steering play I have its so nice driving the car now before it rode horrible bounced around all the time harsh suspension noises because of the struts in the front next is paint then getting the interior sealed up wind/exhaust/aftermarket rod end noise is ridiculous

The 3.73's are considerably better than the stock 3.23'sfrom the 7&5/8 rearend.....but the 4.10's would be a better gear, IMO

Looks very nice! Good work. I need front fenders, spoiler and fix or repair front bumper cover.
Can you tell me about your experience with these parts? What fits correctly and what doesn't ? IE NOS, reproduction, used. Thanks
