I bought what I have now in February of this year but I don't know when I'll be able to find the actual matching set for my year car. Most guys want outrageous prices for these rims. Usually in the $250-$400 range. I got the 92 Z28 rims for $125.

Some updates

So the end of the year is here almost & well, I'm very excited about the changes coming for my Camaro. In about 3 weeks or so I'll have a 350 HSR. No more 350 TPI. I'm done with the TPI and even with the intake runners being aftermarket which did do alot for me as far as racing and the other mods, it's time for a bigger modification & step.

So the HSR will be going on. It'll be the polished version with a polished alternator I'm getting for free. I'm getting the whole fuel rail kit that comes with the HSR also. I'm getting the HSR intake stuff plus the fuel rail kit with the adjustable fuel pressure regulator for $450! I've already been in the guy's car who has it still in his 383 stroker Formula & that thing breathes @ any speed. I've gotta buy a Felpro intake gasket kit for the HSR installation so it doesn't leak.

The stuff is coming with brand new 24# Ford Racing fuel injectors for free. Were going to up my timing a little bit from the stock timing. The AFPR is set @ 42lbs. right now. The installation will happen the same day we take the TPI off. He also has a set of custom hoses specifically for the HSR intake swap, so that will be of great help too.

I'm getting a 160F T-Stat for free with the fuel injectors too. His brother tunes Camaro's so I may go to him for a tune up afterwards depending on how much money I have. After this I'm getting a set of Heddman Headers, probably the full length headers off of summitracing.com & I'm going to get the custom y-pipe made by Heddman for the headers to fit onto.

Once I get the stuff on I'll upload some pics & maybe a video via my Youtube profile. The guy selling me the stuff was selling it all for $650 but is taking $200 off for my TPI stuff including one of my bolt-on's. It's going to be a blast!

Re: My Project "Operation IROC-Z"; Some pics showing work.

So I've got some updates on my ride today. It's December 1st and the year is almost over with! I can't believe it. But this winter time will allow me to accelerate my modifying plans and I've got a few updates.

I got a new (used) rear end today from a 1987 IROC with 90,000 miles on it. The rear end is a 9 bolt 3:27 disc to disc. But I'm not using any of the brake components from it but I'm taking the brake stuff off of my current rear end and swapping those on.

2.) I'm getting a B&M Megashifter on Friday from a guy up the road.

3.) I'm getting newer used seats for my front and a new passenger seatbelt since I took the old one out and the passenger seat out. The guy selling me the front set is a friend.

4.) The TPI upper plenum is getting an upgraded ported plenum. It's not polished but it's ported all the way through. It's done as much as you can port one so that'll make my airflow for the TPI even better.

5.) I'm getting a pair of new roller rockers from Scorpion, the 1.6 kind, and a set of new valve covers, tall versions.

6.) Last but not least at all is the Corvette servo, brand new, that I ordered last night for my transmission. Right now all I have with my 700r4 is a 2300 stall converter. So the servo will make even a better difference with my better rear end and stall converter. Here's a few pics of my rear end that I haven't cleaned up yet.

It took me 13 cans of brake cleaner, engine degreaser & rust remover and a wire brush but I was able to get this baby cleaned up real good. Compared to yesterday it looks brand new almost, lol.
