replace the ZR1s?
I think I may be investing in one of these if I sale my ZR1s. My choices are between these three...

What you guys think?

Re: replace the ZR1s?
I like your wheels they go good with the car. Me personaly i think im going to do black 17" c6 wheels. I think that would look really good on your car too. would accent the black stripes very nicley.

Re: replace the ZR1s?
I think if you're going to ditch the ZR1's then the only good choice that will look better is these:
magnesium C5 wheels (in silver, or you can powdercoat them white)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-Re...318#ht_500wt_0
Here's how they look on a 4th gen, just imagine how much better they will look on a clean 3rd gen.

Re: replace the ZR1s?
What? No 'None of the Above' option? I don't like the "FWD style" offset of the Vettes & 4thgen wheels. No dish to them.

Re: replace the ZR1s?
I really like the C6 wheels, but I think they look best silver.
I like the magnesium wheels. I'd really like to get a set, but there's no way I can afford them.
Two of the wheels pictured have decent sized lips. What wheels would you like to see on it, Stephen?

Re: replace the ZR1s?
Yes, 2 of them do have a lip, but BARELY. If it isn't at least 2", it isn't a lip, IMHO.
Now, this is taking it to the extreme but...Look at these rear wheels!

It is going to be hard to find something that will flow as well as the ZR1's.

Re: replace the ZR1s?
Yeah.... I don't see that fitting my car lol. I like a wheel with a good amount of lip, but a 2" lip is alot more than 3rd gen wheels have. Well, more than mine do at any rate.
I like the ZR1s alot, but they are on quiet a few cars. I just like to be a little different. My car's been like it is for almost 4 years and I've not seen exactly like it

Re: replace the ZR1s?
No idea what they are, but they remind me of Impala SS rims, the way the spokes curve inwards at the lip.
And a dish like that is what I was referring to. Nice polished, semi-deep lip. Like my Snypers have.

Re: replace the ZR1s?
I found some places that sale them. But there are two problems. They are heavier than the ZR1s and the offset is 35mm. Trying to see what I'll need to run them if I get them. If my math is correct, I'd need a 4 inch spacer...? Using Skulte's formula 9" / 2 + 35mm / 25.4 Offset + 3 1/16" Lip = 8.94" Backspacing and the info from here about the lip, I get 8.94-5=3.94" Is this correct?

Re: replace the ZR1s?
I think they are an aftermarket adaptation of the 2000+ C5 wheel.

Re: replace the ZR1s?
go with number 2!!! I have yet to see anyone running the c6 z06 style wheels and would love to see how they look. Not to mention the black/polished face would play VERY nice against the white with black stripes.

In this eBay store. If they come in 17s, I may get a set. I think they are 18s only.

Re: replace the ZR1s?
i voted for #2 but i really prefer a different type of wheel. and i am not fond of wheels that are flat like these. i want to see some debth in a wheel. i like American Mag toro thrust or the outlaw.
