That's the inlet air peace. I had to take the diaphragm off it so i could fit fab up wiring board by it with out it interfering. I used a spring inplace of the diaphragm, im using this as a pressure relief when i shut the doors or hatch air now has a place to escape with out blowing out gaskets.

Thanks! Yours looks amazing as well! iv seen your thread, I was going to go just as crazy as you but i decided to keep it somewhat more factory looking. As far as what is going on with the car a lot has been going on i should really update some of the threads i have but anyways i fab up a coolant and washer jug and hid it in the front of the noise, i also built an exhaust system here are some threads on thos builds

Re: My engine bay (Start to finish) thread
Thanks, all the wire is in but im not done yet there are a few odds and ends left, but the engine and tranny are all wired in and done but i need to see whats going on with the charging end of things since the car dies when you pull the battery cable it should stay running. The battery is in the back but haven't decided on its spot. Another engine will eventually go into the bay and i gotta fab up a newer stainless rad hose other then that at this point i feel its done.

Re: My engine bay (Start to finish) thread
(not trying to sound like a S-@ss...but , if you pull the cable from the battery , it is most likely your alternator. I promise, I'm not trying to sound anyway, but if the cable is pulled and the car stops, then alternator is not working. I'm also going to put battery in trunk, probably a couple , I'm doing a Knight Rider car and need the extra juice for the dash and scanner on front, but for now, I'm going to just get the car running and engine in(which is where I want to be in the next month or so) . Anyway. Been going through the wire harness , looking at this thread and other ones for Pump relays and etc...What did you tie your fuel pump's Relay's 12v to on the ignition side? Just wondering as I'm going to try and wire this before I put it in. I'm putting the headlight and it's module up under the fender.....had to extend wires, but looks pretty cool, not having wires running up front. Anyway, If you could answer that, I'd be most appreciative. (if that's a word) Jjokin....humor is high today, so looook OUT! Jjokin , have a good one, and man, you need to take that engine bay to Nationals!

I was seeking help at one point in time with the alternator wiring. but i thought i got it figured out guess not or it is a bad alt... https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/elec...-confused.html

Re: My engine bay (Start to finish) thread
Man I just read through this whole thread and I am so impressed. All the work you did was so neat and thought out there were no shortcuts. I had a quick question about running vacuum lines because I am currently doing the tpi to carb swap and was getting alittle confused on what line needed to go where. Also I see your breathers on the valve covers but did you do away with the pcv valve completely? Thanks in advance your a real legend.
