Rims are a generic "no"...you need more rubber on those tires....and hood pins are aight.

I thought the rims looked pretty good myself. I agree with the other posters that said it needs to be lowered, too much space above the tire and below the fender. Or taller tires
You look happy though in the first pic hehe!

Re: new rims finally on! and hood pins. what do you think?
The rims arn't really my taste and they make the car look like a 4x4. But hey for $300 they are better than what you had. If the hood was fiberglass and the pins were there for a functional reason, then yea they are cool. But just for looks I think they are kind of lame and a waste of a good hood. Just my and your car should be your style.

Re: new rims finally on! and hood pins. what do you think?
well you asked my opinion so here it is.... those rims look like import rims and hood pins IMO are tacky. those wires will reek havoc on your paint. then again it's your ride and if you like it then it's worth it.

Re: new rims finally on! and hood pins. what do you think?
as long as it makes you happy thats good. The rims are not the best ive seen but not the worst either. I think for a budget you did alright. Youll lower it, so EVERYONE stop beating a dead horse. As far as the hood pins are concerned...im not really decisive. I guess if they are functional cool, if not kinda lame.

Re: new rims finally on! and hood pins. what do you think?
the rims arent that bad. i think it will look a lot better when you lower it. you might want to think about getting gfx, either 85-90 or 91-92 style. cars that have low profile wheels and tires look a little awkward without gfx. nice car tho man, post some daytime pics

Re: new rims finally on! and hood pins. what do you think?
i guess i should have mentioned that the pins are functional. my hood latch was broke and i plan to get a fiberglass hood in the future. also that hood was junk anyway, cant tell in the pic but theres dents all over it. and i want to get 85-90 gfx. also good to kow that cables can hurt my paint, ill get rid of them when the new paint is on. thanks for the replies everyone. ill try to get some daytime pics. but im heading to boot camp this monday so time is limited.

I don't know what the problem is with the wheels, I think they're fine. I know you want to lower it, but why the hell is it so high in the first place? Even stock springs won't jack the car up like that. Those springs have to be for a different car or something.

Sure, the wheels are a little "bling-blingish", but I think they look fine on the car. I also think it looks good with no GFX.

Re: new rims finally on! and hood pins. what do you think?
i think it would look good with the later ground fx, i wouldnt lower it too much, I have a lowered RS and it SUCKS, sure it LOOKS awesome but its a PITA to drive, zero ground clearance, scrapes on every driveway, you gotta go like 1 mph all the time, and its a rough ride.

Re: new rims finally on! and hood pins. what do you think?
It doesn't need ground fx, just needs to be lowered.
I bet hte rims will look much better with the car lowered too. The ground fx are there to make the car look lower to the ground. mw66nova's car is a good example of how all it takes is a good stance to make the car look low and sleek.
Dont get me wrong, I love ground fx and I love the gfx on my car, but if you dont ahve em you can get 90 percent of that look and feel just by bringing the car an inch or two closer to the road.
And I doubt the car is any higher off the grund than it should be, it's all about mismatched rim size, tire size, and ride height. Those 3 things HAVE to be proportioned right for the car to look good, because otherwise you get tehse optical illusions like this where the car looks like it's ready to go offroading. Again, lowering it will fix it, and as long as you dont do duals, you'll have better ground clearance than us ground fx guys too!
For the record, I dont like those wheels, but there are people here with wheels that look much, much worse, and people love them and their cars. There's no accounting for taste. I personally hate most of hte giant chrome wheels I've seen people put on these cars. My idea of a good lookin wheel is a SLP ZR1 wheel.

I'm not a fan of those rims either but the car would look better dropped and it would make the rims better also IMHO.
Check it out, I drop your car for you.
