A/C compressor rubbing Pitman arm

Car: 1988 Pontiac Transam GTA Notchback
Engine: 2003 Chevy 5.3 Vortec (325 cu)
Transmission: 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 3.27
A/C compressor rubbing Pitman arm
I have a question - has this happened to anyone before. After recently installing factory 4th gen a/c on my LS1 swapped 3rd gen, it seems that the A/C compressor is rubbing on the pitman arm. What can I do to rectify this?
I am trying to avoid getting a relocation kit especially since I have the stock brackets (and all the trouble I went through to obtain them).
So Suggestions??? Help

Make sure the passenger side support on the pitman arm is all the way down as its adjustable. If it is, then grind away at the compressor where the bolts attach. That's what I had to do. It didn't take much and there is still plenty of support left for the bolt.

HMM, didn't know it was adjustable. Thanks so much. My main concern is not where the compressor attaches, but rather the compressor pulley is the part that is rubbing. So much so that I cant run the compressor safely becuase when the wheels turn left to right ..it hits

Im going to try to see what adjustment I can make hopefully that should clear it up. There is a strange creaking and Im not sure if it has anything to do with the compressor hitting the arm.

Make sure you don't have the steering arm mounted upside down.
Also, what engine mounts did you use?
