Re: BADNBLK's 91 Z28 LS1 swap... Engine + much more :)

Just had a notification from my thread on LStech and thought well... Maybe I should post an update here too?

So basic short and sweet of things is the car is still broken... Yeah I know. I think it sucks too. I had a whole bunch of life punch me in the face and kick me while I was down. The good news is that I have a plan. Got some great friends, and partnerships in the industry that want to see this car back on the road. The car will be back, and it will be better than it ever was (bold statement). I can't wait get things solved on my end and start fixing my baby.

Ditto on good luck. Where did you get the carbon fiber nose panel that goes around the hood latch? That is such a nice touch. Also, what valve covers are those?

I laid that up my self. I need to redo it as it was my first piece and got a couple bubbles in the resin the edge. THANK YOU! The valve covers are Proform units I cleaned up and made custom grommets for.

Looks fantastic. I would be willing to buy one off you if you make another one. Do they make DIY carbon fiber kits?

Sounds good. It is little details like that that really make a car pop. I noticed it right away. Are your coils under the inside dash?

Re: BADNBLK's 91 Z28 LS1 swap... Engine + much more :)

Read through all this the other day, great car.

The flame pic is awesome, when you look back years from now, the extra work/money you had to put into fixing it won't even matter. You'll have a great story and photo to go with it.

If you haven't already, I'd be sure and get a good high res digital copy of the photo from the photographer/source in case you want a good print of it down the road. I know I would.

Im sure they will, But I have a set of new CCW's that are 18x11 with 4.75BS. Im going to order a new quick performance 9inch and need to start working on axle length

then widen a inch or use stock length and use quality adapters just depends if keeping wheels long term and or possibility of switching them or if you want to run stock wheels on occasion
to clean your babies off couple options for sure

The 3rd gen I bought had a 4th gen rear end, so its useless to me.. the CCW's I have were going on my GN but went another way, dont want to use spacers, so when I order the 9inch I was hoping someone has had used 4.75BS before..

Bolt on the wheels and measure everything up with what you have. Measure how much different you want it to be. Then order an axle with the new dimensions.
