Who has the cleanest, most factory looking LS swap?

Like the title says, I'm looking for some of the cleanest LS swaps out there. I'm toying with the idea of going LS on a restoration project I've got but it needs to look like it came from the factory and I need ideas.

Use a GTO K&N intake, all black couplers, stock fuel rail unpainted and no braided SS stuff. It can look VERY stock

Now THAT'S what's up! Thanks for posting. Exactly what I'm looking for except I'll be running A/C. Did you use the factory guages? Did you do your own wiring or buy a harness?

Yeah, without the stainless, blue and red that is pretty close to stock.

Uhh, yeah I think Pocket made his own harness......

Re: Who has the cleanest, most factory looking LS swap?

AC is pretty simple. Low mount uses a 4th gen AC hose with the ends cut off and generic ends crimped on to fit the 3rd gen condenser/drier. High mounts often use a R4 compressor which came stock on 3rd gens, so change nothing. Nothing looks more stock than... stock

I built that harness along with a little over 200 more

Re: Who has the cleanest, most factory looking LS swap?

Utilizing stock dual snorkel cold air intake
Optional things are
And using high mount alternator
With stock high mount AC conpressor

With those 3 things would be the ultimate stock looking swap any CAI setup and stock f body accessories would be a dead give away of a swap to me being a thirdgen lover but that's just me just depends on how stock looking you want

But pocket picture is a good stock looking swap along with some in thread posted above

But here some pics with stock intake with high mount ac compressor and alternator would be icing on the cake for a true stock look that will have people look twice

It's definitely not the cleanest, but that was my goal during my swap was to keep it relatively stock looking. The ram air box kind of gives it away though. Oh, and I retained the 3rd gen A/C like Pocket was talking about.

Re: Who has the cleanest, most factory looking LS swap?

Hey dprest68, How did you get your fuel rail covers to fit with the drive by cable bracket/throttle-body?

After switching to the drive by cable set up, the new bracket interferes with my passenger side ls6 fuel rail cover.

Did you just have to dremel out a small chunk at the top front corner of the cover or what?

Nice set up btw, Looks awesome!

If I remember correctly, I bought these covers already cut out for that bracket

I would probably cut it out like you said with a dremel.

Thanks for the compliment

Someone at ThirdGen Fest 2014 last year.

Was a white Iroc or 91-92 Z, was a damned fine clean looking swap.
