lt1 help please!
hey guys been a while finally got the 90' done now building my 87 planning on doing an lt1 swap, i need to ask a few more than likely dumb questions but everywhere i look i cant seem to find a point blank answer. 1. will 305 motor mounts work with a 350 lt1? will 1 5/8 headers work off a 305? and finally will an older like early 80's not sure of year just got the car 700r4 bolt up to the lt1??? yes im well aware the lt1 is a gen 2 sbc but supposedly designed off the gen 1. any help would be appreciated! thanks guys! build thread should be started soon too!
also if anyone else is doing this there are some pretty good lt1 threads on here!
i got my harness from lt1350.com, had egr removed thermostat and fan temp changed, impala ss tune and a few other things check them out! there pretty cool guys!

Sorry if I sound rude but your questions have all been answered at some point. Short version is
Yes.
No.
Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. Early 700's were weaker. Better off finding a 4l60e since the computer can operate it.

The primaries are too small to "swallow" the lt1 port. Exhaust leaks would be the problem. That's why 1 3/4 are recommended.
