Slow start to ls1 swap.
I will finally start pulling my old l98/700r from my 92 formula next week, cleaning the engine bay and notching the k-member. I will try to post pics on it all. I've had the engine for awhile its from a 2001 ws6 so it should have the z06 intake right? So I want to do a head and cam swap if money allows it we will talk about that later. I still need to buy lots of swap parts I guess close to 1000.00 dollars in all so I'll keep you guys posted thanks. Turbota82

Re: Slow start to ls1 swap.
It's about time for me to pull my engine as well. My LC9 engine and T56 are in the garage and almost ready. I've slowly been gathering the parts as deals come up. I swapped the cam and valve springs. Texas Speed and Performance was the most helpful when I was asking around for cam advice, so I used theirs.
When you pulled your engine, did you remove the hood? I want to remove my engine from above. Then I want to install the new engine from below once I clean up the engine bay.

Re: Slow start to ls1 swap.
Regardless of which way you remove the engine, I would definitely remove the hood. It just makes it so much easier to work on everything without the hood in the way. Good luck with it.
