LSX Long tubes with Tubular K member

I'm building a lsx camaro and am looking into tubular K members. Some companies say that you gain extra header clearance with their K members. If I get a tubular K member, will this allow me to run 4th gen long tubes? Possibly GTO longtubes?

4th gen long tubes go from $200-$500. I don't want to dish out $900 simply because hawks wants almost a 200% markup due to demand.

Also will Hawks longtubes work with Tubular K-members?

Why not buy the ebay ones?

Also hedman sells headers now also. ranging from 350-550 depending on mid length or long tube.

Holy crap. Thank you. For whatever reason I thought Hawks was the only one who sold swap headers for our cars.

Any reviews on the headers in the link above. They look nice.

I trust Stainless Works, and I trust Hedman. While Hedman does offer several different options that Hawks/SW doesn't, the cost is really about the same, once you add coating, AND they're not stainless. The best deal I could find was their Mid Length uncoated. Cost is about $350...BUT....they suggest Hedman's LS swap kit, which includes their trans mount, It's pricey at $550, but comes with all the swap brackets etc. etc. Hawks also recommends their x member, but you can buy it separately, without a "kit" ....not trying to nickel and dime, but when you get down to apples to apples, they're very similar.

Now Racing Innovations sounds like a good deal IF...and that's an ENORMOUS "if" they're a quality product. There are SO many knock off headers out there and they're terrible. I have no knowledge of these, but they SURE are cheap. I'm a little skeptical, but I'm happy to have someone come in here and tell me otherwise.

I love my BRP Hedman Husler mids, I was the first on the board to try them. From BRP the coated mids are very reasonable. I've got over 3k miles on them and they look great.

Re: LSX Long tubes with Tubular K member

^^^ after I hit reply I remembered about BRP. My buddies use them for their Monte's They have some quality pieces.

Now the cheap ones I posted are only 1 5/8 so really I would only use them on a budget motor. I thought I saw some cheap ones that were 1 3/4 somewhere though. Also im pretty sure there is a thread about them on here showing fitment IIRC.

$500 for those coated BRP/Hedman 1-3/4" mids sounds like a good deal to me.

Re: LSX Long tubes with Tubular K member

Im going to buy a set of longtubes this week. Anyone have reviews on these. I'm really liking the price. But will certainly dish out more, if they aren't a good piece.
