Quick question
Wassup folks.
I recently obtained a LS1 5.7 longblock. Plan on putting 317 heads on it and boosting it. Since its a 5.7, should I pass on it, sell it and get a 5.3/6.0 instead? Im a lil concerned since its an aluminum block. And its a "bonafied" LS1. Might be worth something one day . LOL!

Re: Quick question
If you're looking to boost it, you're better off with one of the iron blocks. Thicker cylinder liners for one, cheaper starting point too. Luckily for you, people go nuts for the LS1, so you could probably finance quite a bit more of your swap by selling the LS1 and getting a junkyard 5.3
