I have it wired to the computer as it shows in the schematic does the computer not need the signal? If i switch senders it will be a single wire then correct?

I used the stock 98 oil sender. Two wires, one to ground and the other to c100. Works great!

Re: 3rd gen oil sender in ls1
I have not hooked it up yet becuase i am still in the process of the swap, but i ordered the pigtail for the 2 prong connector from eficonnection. I am going to connect it to my 3rd gen gauge and ground it. Ill post up the part number for the pigtail later, I dont have it with me at this second.

Re: 3rd gen oil sender in ls1
98 senders use a 4wd vacuum sw connector from a S10. Top middle pin (A) is gauge, bottom grd. All single wire connectors use pin A for gauge. late 3rd gens use a similar connector with 3 wires. The ORN and GRY or TAN/WHT wires were a FP relay bypass and not used for the conversion
Later LSx and corvettes used sensors which are not compatible with 3rd gen gauges. Those are visually much shorter and used a connector similar to the TPS
