Fans not working.
Just wanting to hear what some experts have to say about this.
I have an Lt1 out of a 96 camaro in my 91 Z28, fans wont work now that i changed optispark, i don think that has anything to due with it but anyways, i have chnaged the relay, checked fuses, changed ECT, and still fans wont kick on when engine reaches about 220-230, I also took the fans and tested them by hooing them staright to the battery and they both kick right on.
Anyways will it hurt if i hook the fans up to run everytime i start my car?
Any input will be gratful,
Thanks

Re: Fans not working.
Sounds like it's time to pull out your DMM. Manually ground the coolant temp switch to trick the electronics into thinking the car is hot. Then start measuring voltages at different points in your fan wiring...at the fuses, relays (input and output), fan connectors, etc. Find where the power stops, and you'll have found your problem.
